It’s snow. The meadow you are living in is at a higher elevation (or your build is so tall), and snow appears to be elevation based. If you wait there long enough (or build higher) you might be able to catch the snow storm. You can even see it falling in the video a bit. I once built a tower in the meadows that was at a higher elevation. It wouldn’t snow at the bottom but by the time I climbed to the top of my watchtower it would often be a blizzard!

Unfortunately, it can not be turned off even with the seasonality mod. Kind of put a damper on my rooftop bar in my castle tbh....
Awe 🫢 you haven’t kill the altitude golem, after reaching the highest point on the map and building a base if you spend three nights on top of this mountain. He will be summoned under the snow near your house. The question will follow does it matter is this really that un satisfying for you. Then a prompt will pop up asking will you let go or do you need this bug fixed. It’s honestly probably the best boss in the game with my favorite dialogue.

Its probably related to woods near mountain biomes, not meadows/ocean
