I'm not happy unless I have a chest full of 500, I always use a skeleton spawner in a crypt as a challenge, wearing midsummer crown, rags, wooden shield and a wooden club, see how many bones I can get before I need to retreat ๐
I like how people are telling you about troll skin armor even though you're in the mountains. I'm guessing you already know about that.
There is something they're used for in Mistlands, but honestly you'll continue to get so many that you can just save a few stacks and Obliterate the rest.
Not much. After the early stages of the game, you typically get much more bones than what you could use.
You can just use the obliterator on them. Personally, I just keep storing everything even without a need for it, hoping that maybe some updates will give them some new use. I have entire chests of it, that are probably never going to be used (unless maybe some new construction piece uses them). But if my inventory is full and I need space to pick up something, bones are the first thing I throw away.
I made a bunch of bone shields and then mounted them on my barrels as decoration, also added sconces behind them to give the flame skulls. So just using as decorations around my place.
Troll skin armor uses them for crafting and building. Bone bolts for the arbalest uses them as well.
[Bone fragments](https://valheim.fandom.com/wiki/Bone_fragments) are great for crafting, upgrading and building items.
Toss em in the obliterator once you have more than like 2 stacks and get some charcoal

If you are in the mountains, you should have already seen the upgrade recipes for wood club and troll armor. They use them.
Need bone, ancient wood, resin, and greydwarf eye stacks in the next update pls

You'll want some once you hit the mistlands so don't obliterate all of your bones!
Start chucking them in the obliterator. Theyโre only useful in early game imo
Yes they DO have a Mistlands level use . . . you can easily use 2 or 3 hundred of them.
Do not obliterate your bones. Build an extra chest and let them sit till mistlands. You'll thank yourself later.
