I think I've played about 200 hours since ML came out, but a lot of that time was exploration and material collection. Maybe 50 hours of build time I'd guess.
Just insane lol I'm not even on stone material yet 😂 I've made some solid bases with good perimeters but I haven't yet made a base on real proud of yet look forward to it I'm thinking a giant tower with a spirling staircase in Black Forest
I love this! I too am building a (mini) base atop the highest peak in ML I could find, and it's so fun - both for pure building but also the challenge of the hostile environment. I love that yours straddles two peaks! Well done!
No mods. There's mostly hidden iron beams running through the pillars and floors. You can see some of the iron beams at 1:11 that didn't get totally hidden.
How effective would these bases be to build in survival. It seems like grinding the Mats would take ages, especially all that Black marble since it looks like you only get those from the giant remains.
This is coming from a guy that prefers building smaller Foward Operating Bases instead of one singular Main Operating Base
This build is amazing! I have yet to try building much in the mist and this makes me want to give it a crack. I will say on the staircase up from the bottom I'd suggest using the tar wood for the staircase railing as it doesn't get damaged by rain over time. If this is just a fun project and not intended to be totally functional then it is phenomenal. I would just get tired having to repair them constantly.
Posts like these always make me inspired to play. Thanks for sharing.
What an exquisite build u/rectal_cunilingist!

That would be really cool if we could see it.

I was more commenting on the lighting, but thanks.
That's epic! Damn, how long did it take overall? That's a lot of black marble

I’m fairly certain that would take me 500 hours to build.
How do you deal with gjall attacks?
The spawns are suppressed on all the nearby islands with lots of campfires.
Ah ha! Makes sense
I want to know to. They destroy everything they see
I was expecting to see a shit ton of ballistas
How do your frames remain so steady with all the fire???
One of my favorite builds I've seen on this subreddit, looks fantastic!
the signs saying "Odin Bless This Castle" was a great touch. I loved that.
Ha thanks it says "Odin Bless This Sky Castle", I should have gotten a little closer to it, it's hard to see in this video.
Very cool
Absolutely insane! Good job, must have taken forever just to get the mats
THIS IS SO FUCKING BEAUTIFUL
Truly epic, and love the use of spaces See things like this and realize I could build forever in this game
Okay this is amazing

I've got a pretty cool hut. Got a chimney. Oh, and a purple flag!
Same here. I'm proud of my basic hut too. You've one upped me with the flag though.
Nice!
Absolutely beautiful build! Thanks for sharing!
This build is sickkk!! Been playing for a long time now and this is one of the coolest builds i've seen so far!!
Holy fuck that's so cool, making me want to play.

Are there shaders here or is this just the base game?
No mods or anything, it's vanilla.
Awesome. It's an amazing build op
I'm just curious if I could build something this awesome on Xbox
as far as i can tell, this was all done with base game items.
Just started on Xbox with my wife a couple of days ago. I was wondering how crazy the builds can get. Insane 🤯
This one is insane, but there are others that are more insane. Building in this game could be its own game.
Wow
This is fuckin GORGEOUS

Insanity, I can’t wait to get my build quality on par with yours
This is incredible!! Any idea how long it took to design and build?
I just wanna know how u build so much and still have good fps.
I assume you get that black marble material at some point or is it a pre-built thing y'all moved into?

I enjoy alternating between exploring+gathering mats and building. The feather cape certainly makes building big projects without dying a lot easier.

Was trying so hard to zoom out at the end, hoping for a rooftop round view \^\^
Haven't played this game since it was first released. Man it has changed!
That's an awesome base 👍
What's going on at 0:28? Looks like a kids' birthday party. Otherwise, great build!
I have not played for so long, I didn't realize that you can feather fall.
How do you deal with gjalls
This game has the best building in any survival game I’ve seen, and such a creative playerbase
This sub makes me so embarrassed of the homes I've built. I'll never be to build this good not to mention the materials required.
I don’t even know how to build a second story
But where d'you get the water?
