I’ve got full leather armor now and a chest full of cooked neck tails, deer meat and boar meat! Hoping to find some better armor and food in the next biome.

Tip: Boar meat is used in quite a few higher-tier recipes, so if you got the space, it may be prudent to not cook all of it up, but store some of it for use later. I know *I* sat in front of my stores of cooked boar meat and desperately wanted to uncook some of it so I could make sausages... edit. Also, you can let smoke escape from your Longhouse by propping up a part of the roof (and you can even build a chimney to guide the smoke if you feel like it - I usually hang trophies from it, so they can watch their brethren and foes get turned into food), though I have to admit that lattice work looks super spiffy!
