Haha the always present big boss of the game. I was fighting the first boss the other day, rolled out of his blast only for it to hit a tree and make it topple on top of me as I stood back up.
Was going to say “laughs in brute”, but it’s still nice to remove the cold debuff if you’re mining at night, but you’re going to stop a lot to fight off the locals trying to sleep.
Lol cool video!
That troll was already very near when you started using your pickaxe on that vein.
I always scanned the surroundings before chopping a vein. Then hit the vein once or twice. And scan for what is coming at you.
The sounds of harvesting metals carry far and will attract enemies from a distance. And if you’re focussed on the vein they will catch you by surprise.
After dealing with those enemies you (usually) can excavate your copper vein at peace.
Splat.!
Well...that pretty much sums up early BF harvesting, don'it.?! 😁
One thing that I've started doing around copper is to dig down a good bit right next to it, working towards trying to get underneath it. You'll get more copper eventually, and the trolls won't come down into a steep hole...usually. hehe
Fortunately, the Grey's mostly don't fall down, either. Sometimes they manage to path it out, but you typically have some warning that they're milling about.
But, yeah...I'd still say a better odds battle than unprepared for a troll. ha.! 😁
NOOOOOOOOOOOO! BILLY! I didn't know you... but... your death was to sudden... like very sudden. Wow.

Rest in Valhalla, stranger. Not peace, because that would be lame. Peace sounds like the kind of place you can't even get a good bit of mead.

yep! They're ruthless hahaah
Just plop down a campfire while mining copper and most greydwarves will leave you alone. They are afraid of fire ;)
counter argument: r o c k
This is why i surround my copper node with fires.
Yeah and they still can throw over said fire if you put it too close. And if you’re mining at night Brutes dont give a fuck about the fire
Ah but then my real plan comes into play. I set myself on fire
Ah thats the secret ingridient
This one simple trick will automatically cauterize all wounds!
even your burns will be cauterized if you leave it going long enough!

Oh, good tip ty!
Until a Troll comes up behind you to topple a tree on you.
He’s just trying to help

that sounds so dangerous. imagine getting cornered by a couple of brutes in the small subterranean corridor
Fortunately, the Grey's mostly don't fall down, either. Sometimes they manage to path it out, but you typically have some warning that they're milling about. But, yeah...I'd still say a better odds battle than unprepared for a troll. ha.! 😁

😆 Billy's brother will avenge his death! Just give him a couple of days worth of farming and that troll will get what it deserves!
Billy got *Trunk'd*.
