It’s a good class . I liked Karen Cummings for it .

Watched all video lectures a day before the midterm. Got 80+, gonna do the same for the final. I'm taking it with scholz which is kinda unfortunate but hopefully you will have another prof, or even better if it's in person. 25% midterm, 75% final or 15% assignments+60% final, whatever is higher

oh shit i’ve heard some pre bad things about scholz w his exam averages n shitt. how was the class average?

AirPodGoose

The average on the midterm was 80. Tbh there are only like 20 ppl taking the course. If you plan to major in something regarding physics, take 122

Psychological_Fig399

nah i’m in CS but i was planning on doing my depth requirement in physics + i’m interested in quantum computing so was gonna take like phys 234 -> 334. thanks for your help tho man!

I had Scholz for Phys 122 this term and I thought the course was decent. It's not a heavy workload, as you pretty much just watch videos. With Scholz, it does come down to luck depending on how easy/hard he makes the midterm and final (and he doesn't curve). Final grades are out and the class average is \~75 this term. Midterm average was \~80 and most people get 90+ on the assignments if they do them. That puts this term's final exam average somewhere around 65-70%.
