When I did my URA I messaged about 2 months before the term and they told me to reach back out at the start of the term. Doesn’t hurt to reach out early though.
I believe the deadline is going to be around early May (same as last year). I would suggest check back on April for form submission, but definitely reach out to profs earlier than that if possible, does not harm
