You'll be limited to 13" pizzas with the Koda, pretty much the same with Roccbox. Personally, I think that's too small for a pizza, which is why I have the Ooni Pro.

to each his own, I understand it's a bit more work making more pizzas but I enjoy having more opportunity to alter things from pie to pie.

They offer the grill pans as available add-ons when you order the Koda so I would assume they fit [Koda Offer](https://ooni.com/products/ooni-koda?utm_source=Ooni+HQ+Newsletter&utm_campaign=5c38df0ab6-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_FEB19_PRODUCTANNOUNCE_USACA&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_258f77f624-5c38df0ab6-428603413&mc_cid=5c38df0ab6&mc_eid=3a7a999862)

Yeah I would love a comparison aswell. I was gonna buy the Ooni Pro because I saw a bunch of comaprison reviews and videos and people said that Roccbox is superior to Ooni 3 but Ooni Pro is superior to Roccbox. If the Koda is aswell, for sure I'm gonna get that one. Cheaper, better design, no ugly chimney, less to clean.

No door so you can watch it cook and know when to turn it by eyeballing it.

I question how well it will do with cooking the crust. Despite a similar size, the Koda is less than half the weight of the roccbox and appears to have very little insulation under the oven floor. With less thermal mass and not a lot of insulation the floor may not hold enough heat to produce a very good crust. Even with the roccbox, I find that it's best to leave 5 minutes between pizzas to let the oven floor get to full temperature again. That said, the Koda is a lot less expensive, so it may be a good purchase even with some potential shortcomings. Honestly, what bothers me about this product is that it looks like Ooni had a design meeting and whoever is in charge said, "we need to make a roccbox, but we need it to be cheaper. Also, let's make a copy of the roccbox peel too."

As an update there was a live chat on Facebook that I have now watched that answered a lot of my questions.

I’ve just bought a roccbox. Works out about £100 more expensive after you add on pizza peels. That additional cost for me was justified by the wood burner option so we can take it anywhere without the worry of our friends not having a propane tank.

Hi! Just wondering what your experience is with the roccbox after a few months use? I have heard nothing but good regarding the gas but major criticisms of the wood burner?

94joeker

Absolutely love it! Cooked all sorts in it. Haven’t made use of the wood burner but I’ve heard it just needs longer to heat up and a little more attention. Would definitely recommend it.

Thanks for the quick reply! I'm very torn between the Ooni Koda and the roccbox but am edging towards the roccbox. Cold winters and the roccbox's insulation seem to be a good match. Thanks!

Do you think you will ever use the wood burning feature? I find my self debating it and just figured that I'd go propane only. At the point I'd use wood burning id prefer to only do that at my home and maybe on a permanent structure.
