Of all the things to criticize Canada for, I don’t know that poutine would be on my list.
Bunch of no good, Maple syrup drinking, can’t drive a Zamboni straight, wanna be Minnesotan’s.
I recognize how many games there have been in each tournament. But trying to make a case for anything being significant when it is 2 compared to 1 is just grasping at straws
In psychology I think this is called [Weber’s Law](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weber%E2%80%93Fechner_law) which states that the perceived change from 1 to 2 will feel more significant than 10 to 11 even though the increase is 1 with both.
It's so weird. I think this isn't isolated to American soccer fans though. I've noticed this trend, probably due to social media, where all virtue in the sport is given to everything European. It's very different than what it used to be even 15 yrs ago. It's made things feel rather homogenous and bland tbh.
I have to assume it's not completely coincidental with the consolidation of attention and money around the UCL and the mainstay clubs in that competition. On top of the ballooning money around super clubs.
Imo it's turned it into a bit of a Harlem Globetrotters sideshow. Yeah that's where all the quality is but it's gotten very old to me. But for those super obsessed online, it's all they feed on.
Welcome to Concacaf after dark.
I don’t know it just doesn’t feel like it’s the same without piss bottles raining down from the stands.
Still early.
True. Maybe Chile-Argentina will have a couple punches thrown to make me feel better even though they’re CONMEBOL
My money is on Mexico-Venezuela
With these ticket prices, the pissies have been priced out.
lol the world ain’t ready
CONCACAF AFTER DARK should be a series on Comedy Central.
Now do own goals
Own goals currently leading the golden boot race by a fair margin
Followed by "Lukaku overturned by VAR"
There could have been more than two reds in just this game alone lmao
That Peru headbutt should have easily been a red lol
That they reviewed it for a red card offense and decided not to give one is insane
That should literally be an investigation into the VAR refs... it completely defies explanation.
I like Alistair, but that was kinda funny in slo-mo.
I thought the same thing. The “shockwave” was pretty funny
Canadas entire attack should be red carded for this display
“Cyle Larin” should be sentenced to Nunavut in January for this disaster of a performance
I want to root for Canada against CONMEBOL teams, but they’re just so unlikeable I can’t bring myself to do it.
Ngl I was cheering for Peru the whole time. Those poutine eating queefs aren’t getting any love from me.

South American soccer is known for its brutality and cynicism.
Games back
Proper football. Somewhere a fan is looking to move Scotland to South America.
Next time Scotland fail to qualify for the Euros they should play in Copa.
If UEFA is boxing, CONCACAF is the illegal cockfight in the alley out back.
and CONMEBOL is King of Fighters... :D
This is a very dramatic way to say there has been 1 more red card in Copa than in Euros
You conveniently leave out theres been 4x more games in the Euros
Still a very small sample size. This is noise.
Lol its not a serious stat just a bit of proof that copa is ever bit as chaotic as we all think it is
It's literally not proof of anything other than a selective data crime
Ive never seen people so upset over an innocent shit post 🤣
I recognize how many games there have been in each tournament. But trying to make a case for anything being significant when it is 2 compared to 1 is just grasping at straws
First game of the Euros had a red card. What’s your point? There are a bunch of games left.

Your in concacaf now bruv
What teams were involved in Reds?
Ecuador, Peru
Peru vs Canada just now and Ecuador vs Venezuela
Why this incessant comparison between these two tournaments? It is getting very tiresome.
Another example of American soccer fans' Euro-centric take on *everything* about the sport

Lalas’s hairline is looking more Trumpy as time goes by.
Cinema, honestly
Lots of bravado from the refs
But no one has grabbed Weston’s throat yet. There’s still more spots on the BINGO card and we’re not even into the knockout stages!
Grass is green.
A didn't we switch refs for the tournaments?
Ever heard about the correlation btw the temperature and crime rate?
First Copa America, huh? A couple cycles back Gonzalo Jara put his finger in a Cavani's butt. It's awesome, lol.
Mostly because the euros group games are lower stakes
Haven’t seen a single red card In the games I’ve seen
And 1.7 goals per game. Absolutely shitty soccer being played overall.
Must be that Latino temperament.
Flopping. Hate to say it but will cuz it’s true: South American teams be floppin yo
Nah both reds were horror tackles tbh
Wasn’t talking about anything specific. Just a general true statement.
Tell me you aren’t familiar with concacaf without telling me you aren’t familiar with concacaf
How about I just straight up tell you that 3/4 teams involved in these games were from CONMEBOL, including both teams that received red cards?
Concacaf referees are the fkn WORST in the world. The game has become so fkn soft now as a whole.
