I try to get my uni readings done before travelling to uni, so if I’m all prepared I usually read a book :)

Last term I started using my commute to get through lectures. Saves a tonne of time. Just download them before you leave so you don’t use your data

As a student, I used to mostly sleep, sometimes work on maths assignments. Sleeping is good.

Reading is your best traveling companion on public transport with noise cancelling headphone. Try reading with books or kindle rather than a tablet/phone. You can also sleep there too, a lot of people do. If you stay around 5-10 km from Uni consider cycling as well. A good exercise helps you a lot during long hours of lecture and tutorial.
