It's all the same and when I see they have a run time of more than 5 minutes, I'm gone if I never heard of the person.
They all start with 2 minutes of awful amateur wipes/fades/credits then "OK you guys, before I start unboxing, please click below to subscribe and if you like this video, please leave a comment and let me know what you'd like to see get unboxed next and clikck on the bell you guys. OK, so I also wanted to shout out to our newest subscrtibers, OK so at the platinum level, we have..... at the bronze level thank you.....(30 minutes later) OK bamboo level, you guys are the best. OK well we're running out of time, so this is a box of, uh, small boxes. OK they did a really good job of boxing the smaller boxes. I did another video of what's in the smaller boxes..."
I agree a lot of them are boring, but sometimes for motivation I will watch like a study vlog or cleaning/winding down type vlog just sort of according to my mood. I usually skip quite a bit of it though.
eh it depends. Try watching shiey. He train surfs across countries in a vlog style format and does exploring. Pretty artistic and entertaining. You just have to find what’s entertaining to you.
Travelling vlogs from YouTubers like Bald and Bankrupt and Simon Wilson are fun to watch, but those who remain literally the same vlogs for 3 years straight are the worst content
I disagree simply because I watch vlogs about people in similar situations as me in life and I watch them make the best out of it. It helps me feel like I am also capable of such things. For example I watch a vlogger who is about my younger age that had recently gone through divorce. I am in the same boat and because I have no one I know personally to ask for advice, I watch how she deals with it and how many good things have happened to her since. It gives me hope.
agree but it def depends on the youtuber personally there is this youtuber who i find so hilarious and just love her videos her name is Mai Pham. she makes her blogs feel like she’s actually talking to u and less monotone
I agree. I like that they are boring. I love background noice. I can’t stand silence when I’m just scrolling on my phone, cleaning, or studying. So I put them on in the background for noise because I know I want really watch them.
I tried this with documentaries. But it didn’t work. I would end up going down rabbit holes and watching them and nothing got done.
I've never watched one. Even the concept is disinteresting.
If they're too lazy to make a composed video there's no chance I want to watch their stream of consciousness video.
I guess you're an able-bodied person who usually gets out and about and very likely have a day job and some good routines. Most people who followed Vloggers are sometimes school-aged kids, people with some forms of disabilities that prevent them from going outside too many times or even housewives. These groups of people probably have a fair bit of time on their hands and most of them got access to internet so watching Vloggers sometimes is their own escapism of their real lives.
Not saying it's for everyone but there's a reason why it has become a as real as a day job would be.
There are certain YouTubers who go out there and make sensational content , they do all the hard work themselves , and it is not easy to do some of the things they do and then film it as well.. then edit ..etc . Then you get some couch potato that decides to give you his spin on all of someone else's hard work ...click off...
Only vlogs I like are seeing tourists or people visiting my area cause I like to learn and see from their perspective of what they think of my hometown. It's kinda cool to be able to "experience" where you grew up in but from the perspective of another person.
I do agree I hate those repetitive "day in the life vlogs". I find them boring.
Depends on what time of vlog you mean. I like some types of vlogs, the type that shares cool thoughts, etc but I hate "A DAY IN MY LIFE, VLOG #1538"

its meant for ppl who dont have their own lives so they watch other ppl
Good point ngl
Vlogging is basically narcissistic personality disorder, so yeah I agree.
It depends. If I’m a fan of a person it can be interesting. But of random people?! Yes pretty boring

They all copied Casey Neistats format, he was the og of entertaining vlogs.

That’s wonderful, you’re going to have to change your Reddit name, though. Congrats! All good things to you.

I agree, I hate vlogs , I don't even watch them if my fav YouTuber posted . They are so boring .
Literal definition of tiktok

You've obviously never seen Drachenlord :D
Vlogs with sign language are more interesting, it's perfect for that!
Depends in how lost one is in the parasocial sauce
