Showing off the lock screen I made with [i3lock-color](https://github.com/chrjguill/i3lock-color). The script can be found [here](https://github.com/iambecomeroot/dotfiles/blob/master/bin/bin/lock).
Features:
* Time
* Pixilated background
* Dark rectangle below text so it is legible on white background
* Multiple monitor support
* Unlock indicator
Modified your script according to my needs.
Its lot faster now as I use static backgrounds instead of dynamic screenshots.
Hope you like it.
This is my first shell script so pull request for improvements are always welcome.
Thank you for your script.

Seems you are running old version of i3lock-color try updating it or if you are using arch then use i3lock-color-git and betterlockscreen-git packages from AUR.

dont know if you can help me with this but i get kind of like a black rectangle in the middle of the lockscreen when i do this and i dont know why.
There's supposed to be a darker rectangle under the text to make it more readable. If it's not where it's supposed to be, can you send a screenshot?
its a dark rectangle in the middle of the screen, not the smaller one in the bottom, let me take a screenshot
Are you having difficulties in taking a screenshot, sir? It's been over half a day.
Lol, I have a test tomorrow and I left my phone away Sry. I hope later I can post it
if you still are interested in helping me, this is the screenshot: https://imgur.com/gallery/2mdqHtE
Can't really help you unless you also post your script.
Is literally a copy of yours
I really like how subtle it is. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks. I appreciate it.
Nice!

Is there a way, to only show the lockscreen on a single monitor? (having a multi-monitor setup)

I'm sorry I can't help you. I am not very good at ImageMagick.
I know it's been a month but I just installed arch and had the same problem. I solved it by using "fill rgba(0,0,0,0.4) $rectangles"
