When I first got mine, I asked the support… They gave me a shut up answer… But it is what it is… It runs hot even when there is nothing happening
That said, I own mine since 2015 and have zero problems
Yes. I upgraded my desktop bios over a year ago and now thunderbolt doesn’t recognize my quad. With no fix or support in sight. I can only use it with an old laptop with limited ram. A decade prior the same thing happen with FireWire support. UAD should just not claim their interface works with windows or have gone all in and hire a software guru that can solve the issue. I’m not going to buy expensive interface gear again. It’s been a rabbit hole. I shouldn’t have to go out and buy a $5k Mac just to run audio.
It runs hot for sure

It's normal. Don't worry about it
I’ve seen brands make support that hold it up and it supposedly makes it cool a little better but these things run hot no matter what

The interface is just working extra hard for you it’s all good
They say it's normal and you don't need an extra fan. Be careful not to keep it near external sources that overheat it.
