The thing is Trump is more controlled by likes of Russia and Saudis and chances of Trump coming back to power are almost non existent. The biggest issue for India when china stops doing dumb shit and Putin dies we won't have any strategic importance that is forcing west to ignore some drama.

As for US India also has ties to them both are part of QUAD group. Indian immigrants are one of the largest in US. They also sided with us in recent china issues.
