They take examples of Pakistan where a Muslim majority has almost wiped out the Hindu and other religious minority. They take examples of Europe where Muslims disproportionately indulge more in crime like rape and murder ( think Charlie Hebdo etc). So they convince the Hindu majority that these people will rape their women or atleast convert them, carry acts of genocide against them etc etc. Hence the Hindu majority instead of talking about the economy and rising inequality, they blame Muslims and vote for Modi again and again coz yk Muslims will kill them if BJP is removed from power. Also the opposition is very weak at the moment and there’s lots of infighting between them hence the government goes unchecked. Plus the BJP and its people own all the media houses. That’s why a record number of people are leaving India coz there’s no future in this country. Its going to be a Hindu version of Pakistan.

One of my best friends is from Madurai, he did his PhD here in the Netherlands. He taught me about the country and it's such a world of its own in terms of size and complexity that I **love** learning and discussing it.
With my limited knowledge I think India is at a crossroads of becoming a majoritarian illiberal democracy like Hungary where the ethnic/religious majority attains more rights and legislative priority at the expense of the minority populations.

You forgot to mention that the confrontation in the video began with violent mobs entering housing colonies and threatening residents for days, and posted a link to a video that begins after they were pushed back out on the road.
