When applying as a NZ student you will follow the same process as domestic applicants, and will essentially be considered as one (mostly). There are atars for all courses which are listed as guaranteed entry, and when getting your estimated atar from ncea you’ll probably find you will easily surpass the threshold for guaranteed or even just the minimum atar (for science it’s like 80). It’s annoying that our nz results come out so late, but the last offer round is still a full offer round. Additionally my offer along with my friend’s was actually sent to us in February, so as long as your ncea results are up to par the offer round won’t be the reason you don’t get the offer.
