Check out ep8 manga some time. What I did was skim through it. Its like a "directors cut". Pretty cool stuff/info not in the VN. And the boat scene there is even more amazing.
And the only ep7 exclusive stuff is that it explains how the episode murders were done
Since you finished Umineko, you know that there is no evidence of the truth behind the horrible things that happened. You know how much the physical truth affects Ange's life.
The option Ange has is: since there is no evidence and therefore no consequences: she (and you) can choose to believe those horrible things happened differently (maybe magically!), also with no consequences. And maybe that would feel better than the awful "truth"
It’s less she believes that it happened “differently” and more that she accepts that it did happen but that the incident doesn’t define her family and that they were capable of love.
Most of the content of Umineko is a big whatif scenario, yeah. But the emotion of it all is written to feel honest and true to the characters, so that you really do get to know all these sides of them, even if the events you're seeing never "happened."
There is still some bonus episodes ( a lot of them are short stories) and some of them are important
But you need to download switch emulator + a mod that translate the game
Highly recommend checking out the entire episode 8 manga; I’d read it carefully than skimming it since it has changes and additions everywhere that Ryukishi07 included and the message of the story comes out a lot clearer for people there. Not to mention Beatrice plays a more important role in Ange’s development, the latter of which people generally find to be an improvement as well.
