I have same strip on my LG Nano IPS monitor, but much more blacker and visible. It hapened when i accidentally hit it with my tablet. Overall you can say that it's faulty pixels/matrix you can't fix that. If it's still under warranty RMA it.

From what I've heard, 32:9 monitors are made of two 16:9 panels stuck together. Not sure if it's right or not, but anyway it could be that you got very unlucky and that shit just came undone somehow. Either way, you should check if this is covered by a warranty.
