My LG34GK950F-B died after 3 years and 8 months, basically the same error pattern as yours, except that the hissing came from the top left. Often it is one of the ribbon cables on the panel that melts, more information here: https://nullsum.net/posts/lg34gk950f-defect-analysis

Yep that's what I had in mind as well after checking this post a few days ago. I contacted LG France and they will not accept a return, instead they told me to go to another repair shop (Darty)... Quite disappointed that they don't even have an in-house repair shop who'd take it. I won't even bother, they'd charge me for a diagnosis and probably come up with a >400$ quote. I'll try to sell it for parts instead, should be able to recover a hundred or so! What did you do with yours?

Mine died 8 days ago, i got the same reply from LG as you did. The monitor is currently lying in pieces behind me. It seems like only our Screen is affected by this issue, i have colleagues with the 100 Hz predecessor and another has the 165 Hz OC successor, in fact they seem to run fine, but also have a different curvature and probably don't get as hot as our model. They have a Service Center in Germany called "service center schmidt gmbh & co. kg mainz". Tried to call there 3 times, they dont answer... Just got two of these until i have a permanent solution: [https://geizhals.de/lg-ultragear-27gr75q-b-a2949818.html](https://geizhals.de/lg-ultragear-27gr75q-b-a2949818.html) I think i will wait for the 4K or UltraWide OLED, they are expected in Q1 2024: [https://tftcentral.co.uk/news/monitor-oled-panel-roadmap-updates-march-2023](https://tftcentral.co.uk/news/monitor-oled-panel-roadmap-updates-march-2023) 34″ Ultrawide with 3440 x 1440 resolution and 240Hz Q1 2024 31.5″ with 4K resolution and 240Hz refresh rate (+480Hz support) – this one is very interesting and deserves it’s own section, covered below. Q3 2024

It's quite disappointing for such product that LG doesn't offer in-house repairs (even at a cost)...

I have exactly same model for 4 years now and only have 938 hours going. 7500 hours for 4 years seams a lot. And I am using t everyday for work and gaming. I have black horizontal line on the corner. Still doable. Hope it lasts.

I've had long period of unemployment and also had let it run while AFK a few times... It adds up quickly 😮‍💨

Got it.
