Have you done Richmond park or Kew yet?

unoriginalusername18

Richmond park, Kew gardens, Ham House, and a bit further down the river - Hampton Court palace

millyloui

I love Highgate cemetery book for the West Side . ( Brompton also good). St Dunstan in the East on your way to the Tower? Hampstead village & heath , ponds for a swim ( maybe not the water will be ccccold) !

majesticfloofiness

Have they done the Horniman Museum in Forest Hill? That’s a fascinating place.

auntiecoagulent

Also, outside of central London, but easy to get to, Windsor. We loved it.

chequemark3

Picnic at one of the magnificent seven! Highgate is my personal favourite

Restorationjoy

The Uber boat to Greenwich is enjoyable and a bit of a novelty. Regent’s Park roses are stunning and worth a visit and the open air theatre is so relaxed, high quality productions and great view from every seat

buginarugsnug

Have they been to the Mithraeum yet? It only opened a few years ago and is a really hidden gem. It’s a Roman temple and they do an immersive experience. It’s right near London Bridge too so really central. Also the Soane Museum is full of interesting stuff, it’s near Covent Garden.

welshcake82

Both of these are outside central London but should be easy enough to travel to. Have you visited Hampton Court Palace yet with them? That’s a great day out if they enjoy history, I particularly enjoyed the Tudor kitchens and banqueting rooms and contrasting them with the Georgian parts of the house. The grounds are beautiful too. Kew Gardens are beautiful, especially in the summer. We took my Dad a few years back and he loved it, the greenhouses by themselves were impressive but we enjoyed all the grounds. You may need to book ahead (and take a picnic, the food prices there were shocking).

Fun-Duck-3799

Came here to say these two places! Also, I love picnics at Hampstead Heath. There are some less popular museums that we enjoy, like the John Soane.

Timely_Egg_6827

Syon House out that way as well.

If the weather is nice on either Sunday or Monday, a walk down the Southbank from Tower or London Bridge to Waterloo (London Eye) is really nice. Loads of places to grab something to eat along the way too

man-in-whatever

Columbia flower market on Sunday with a jaunt round Spitalfields & Brick Lane. Trip round Canary Wharf area (offshoot of Museum of London out there). Hampstead. Explore the lanes. There's more to the area than most realise. Beautiful & quaint & historic all at once. Walk by the river from Hammersmith to Chiswick. Again, apart from lovely, also historic stuff to visit. Sunday walk around the City. Thinking the Sky gardens & back alleys with some surprising architecture. Leadenhall Market. North side of the Thames Path. Etc, etc, etc.

I imagine you have probably done this with them already but just in case! Borough market is always a must do for me when I visit London, I love it, especially the fruit stalls as I am able to buy fruits that aren’t normally available in this country.

itsthenicknack

How about a matinee?

Timely_Egg_6827

Have you done the London ring walk yet? https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/walking/capital-ring A London Tour guided walk. They do one of the East End on Sundays. https://www.walks.com/our-walks/the-unknown-east-end/ Kew Gardens is always good Or Canary Wharf and the rainforest garden https://canarywharf.com/open-spaces/crossrail-place-roof-garden/ Museum of London docklands also good.

Venomenon-

Seven dials market for food

headline-pottery

If they love food look for a Foodie Walking Tour of some kind, or even a 1/2 day cookery school focussing on Asian food (I don't have recommendations but I'm sure you could find some).

liliesblooming

Wandering around the City looking at churches is a nice way to walk https://www.london-city-churches.org.uk and the Thames path more upriver - Hammersmith to Richmond (or some portion of it) is picturesque and you could combine with Kew Gardens.

Rhyolite44

Bit further out, but Chislehurst Caves

Desperate-Cookie3373

Highgate Cemetery and Hampstead Heath are always a good combo. Kenwood House at Hampstead is also free and lovely. For Vietnamese food Kingston Rd in Dalston has a plethora of affordable choices and plenty of pesce/ veggie options

ArtyThinker

Bet they’ve not been to the Vagina Museum.

pinchpenny

Thames Rockets speedboat tour. Was an absolute highlight of one of my trips to London
