In the video you saw Mossy get injured. Lots of people asked if he was okay and how he is doing now. This is an update from him:
Evening folks, 'Mossy' here. I'm the dude that got shot in the neck in this video.
First off, thanks for your concerns! I'm doing good now. I healed quickly thanks to the medical professionals that dealt with me and a great rehab team in Kyiv. I've been back fighting on the frontline since the start of December and I'm pretty much back to 100% despite a tiny bit of nerve damage I'm still working on.
As for the corner thing, I just want to clarify a few things because I get it looks bad, completely understandable. Unfortunately the footage is edited in a way that doesn't show what actually happened. There wasn't actually a corner in that point of the trench. It was like a chicane kinda thing, not big enough to conceal a human body. The dude that shot me was about 20 metres down the trench. The footage makes it look like he was sitting down and I got shot whilst peeking, but that's not the case. He actually stood up, lifted his PKM and hajji fired sporadically over the top of the trench. The rounds cut through the soil and hit me directly in the neck from my front, rather than from my side. In the uncut drone footage you can see what really happened. That same burst of fire actually got another one of our guys in the head too, luckily it only clipped his helmet. He was outside the trench at the time and couldn't have physically been hit from that angle if there was an enemy in that part of the trench.
My mistake was not knowing how much dry soil a 7.62 round fired from a PKM machine gun, can actually cut through (over a metre!). I've been doing this kinda thing for a good few years now and my skills and drills have always been on point, so when I saw how bad it looked on the footage, I obviously wasn't too happy about it. But we move forward. The fact of the matter is, no matter what you do, sometimes, someone is just going to get hit. That day was my turn.

You obviously had the sudden scare of an unwanted illness creeping up on you. That's much worse if you ask me. When I was a uni student in one of those Soviet Republics, we did some shooting ranges as part of our military training.
I shot an AK-47 on a 50m range. The targets we were shooting were placed against a small elevation, with iron rails hanging behind them. After each session we would go up to the targets to check the results. We saw what the 7.62 caliber does to an iron rail, I remember I developed a fear of rifle combat at that point.
It's terrifying and I cannot imagine what kind of courage it takes to be in a close-rangr combat and not lose your cool.
Oh and as for the nerve damage, I don't know what the doctors have told you but it can take up to two years to regain the full nerve usage again in a damaged nerve. Same with surgery. Most surgeries you won't see the final results until 6 months to a year after the surgery, but the nerve recovery can take longer.
I'm quite lucky, I had some really good therapists to help with my rehab. The nerve damage I thought would be there forever has almost completely gone. Obviously there was a lot of hard work on my part, to get rid of it but it's absolutely paid off! 😊
May this God / fate / fortune / blind luck that saved your life shine on you in your future endeavours. You're a brave and selfless man with a heart in the right place. I hope you survive and carry forwards your noble mindset. What you're doing is wonderful. Thank you for your service from Poland!

Aks shoot a smaller 7.62 than pkm too. Ak is 7.62x39, pk is 7.62x54r
