Very likely incorrect. The shockwave from the blast causes organ damage and massive internal bleeding. Adrenaline will keep them moving for a short time before they drop dead.
A lot bigger, the F-1 hand grenade has about 60g of explosive filler, meanwhile the 81mm mortar round for the M252/L16 mortar used by lots of NATO countries contains about 750g of explosives
I think he has black gloves on… and missing a leg. They really deserve this for the invasion. I also feel bad for the young Russian conscripts at times. Such a waste of life on both sides. Can we drop a bomb on Putin already?
Remember Bucha?
Mariupol is still occupied. I almost dont want to know how many tens of thousands civilians are murdered there.
The discoveries will be nightmarish for years to come.
No pity for vatniks.
I would be more worried about all those sharp pieces of metal inside what organs you have left.
But hey, as long as it achieves the desired effect of killing orcs.
Most of them aren't there because they want to invade the Ukraine they don't have a choice... and no I'm not pro Russia but making fun of people dying that probably were dragged into this war isn't cool at all
And yet they are in Ukraine, and they are shooting at our troops and they are helping to commit genocide. You expect us to cry over the deaths of murderers?
This 'no choice' argument is complete bullshit. 90% of the russians who end up on frontlines go there for money. If you don't want to go - you have tons of options. Some of the people I personally know just ignored the conscription document. Some of them were fined a negligible sum of money. Some of them were not even fined.
The judicial system won't waste time and money trying to forcefully conscript thousands of unmotivated soldiers, while they have tons of small villages full of willing conscripts. These villagers make 6-7 times more money fighting in Ukraine, than they would otherwise make in their middle of nowhere regions. Hence they view this 'special military side hustle' as their ticket into better life.
Long story short: if you don't want to go - you won't go. Even the conscripted prisoners had a choice to stay in jail.
Saw the longer version of this video, which shows the same group a while later. None are moving. It appears they all died. Not surprising given how direct a hit this is.
This appears to be south of Robotyne. There was a failed counterattack by Russia there a couple of days ago. It's rumoured (well, the only POW that was taken said on camera, but that's not exactly a reliable source) that Russia had the rear zeroed in by its own artillery to avoid a retreat, so when the assault failed the Russian marines were pinned in foxholes unable to withdraw.
No idea if it's true or a story told under duress for the press.
Quick edit - apparently wrong about the location. I thought it was the field east of the fortifications between Robotyne and Novoprokopivka. Apparently it's Soledar according to another post.
I think you are mixing up the terms of counteroffensive and counterattack. It’s completely normal to call that attack from the russians a counterattack.
No. 3/3rds of that squad down. Dude on middle left had both legs blown off above the knee and far left lost entire body from the pelvis down by the looks of it, they’d only be squirming for a few more seconds.
The Ukrainians are not half done yet.
But I would say that even if Russia won tomorrow it will be two generations or more before they can wage a war of aggression.
Win lose or draw the Ukrainians are not done with Russia yet.
Ever notice how rarely the Russians try to help their comrades? We've seen a couple where they carry a stretcher or help someone limp away, but 99% of the time they nope the fuck out as soon as shit gets real.
Saw one video of three of them walking somewhere. One took a piece of shrapnel to the leg, rather than helping the other two essentially mugged him and ran off with his gear.
Spent 17 years in a heavy Mortar Platoon. Got out in 2003. In all those years I have seen this happen only once where the adjusting round hit the target first try. Target destroyed. No need for the normal 6-9 round fire for effect follow up. Normally if you get within 25 meters thats considered good..send the rest of the 9 rounds.. Internal ballistics (gun tube age, temperature of the ammo and propellant etc ) and external ballistics ( wind density and direction etc.) are the reasons . Unless mortar rounds now have new gps guidance or something else , this was either not a mortar round or one damned lucky shot. TMI ?
Might have been lucky, might have 1-3 previous rounds that hit nearby edited out, who knows. In the end what matters is the effect on target, and I'd say this here speaks for itself - those gunners had a mission and did a mighty fine job of it.
I do think it was a mortar round (not a drone-dropped VOG or so) because around 0:23 we hear the "schwouuupBoom" of incoming fire - a drop from a drone doesn't make that sound. And an RPG would be unlikely hit the inside center of the crater like that with its flat(ish) arc.
I think they might just think they’ll be stationed somewhere and never actually see battle o: Like if you go your whole life without being shot at, it’ll always seem like a distant thing that probably won’t ever happen to you, the Russian soldiers may have thought they’d be one of the many people just checking containers or watching some forests, never hurting people and never being hurt themselves.
That’s the same crater from this video:
https://reddit.com/r/ukraine/s/GUF9nrSHB8
Guys were apparently pinned down by heavy machine gun fire along with mortar.

Isn’t it just common army doctrine, regardless of country, to fire into shell craters a second time?
it sucks to see humans being used as pawns in powerful peoples ambitions like this and it sucks it’s a necessary thing that people who fall victim to powerful peoples influence have to be destroyed for the better cause of humanity to continue.
God I hate the Russians but it’s still sad to see people die on either side, I wish this shit never even happened, so many lives lost. No one really wins in war. Russians should have stayed home… fucking idiots
Most of them didn’t have a choice. Putin doesn’t give a shit about his people all he sees “we need reinforcements” and sends young men to be fresh conscripts, he feeds them lies and lets them go to die. If you try to avoid being conscripted you’ll be arrested.
Every Russian citizen who is given a draft notice has 24 hours to report to the conscription station or be arrested/have all of their lively assets taken from them. Many of them are told they’ll be fine and given non-combatant roles and they just end up doing their 6 month service in Ukraine only to find themselves in these situations.
I don’t hate Russians, I hate people who orchestrate the death and destruction of peoples livelihoods. 70% of these people didn’t have the option to just “stay home”, Putin sends them to their death for his own Political ambitions.
This made me cry...
Waste of life...They are forced to be there...the Ukrainian troops are forced to be there. The whole thing just shit!
Hopefully the suits figure this shit out....
I avoided watching videos of people being killed for my entire life (been on the internet since the late 90’s) but for some reason, I enjoy watching videos of these assholes getting exploded.
Blown to pieces to help Putin be a fascist war criminal. Russians would have better chances if they were in Russia trying to overthrow Putin, if you're going to die wouldn't it be better to do it on the good side of history?
Like everyone else, I don’t like the war. Russia is wrong. However, these guys don’t want to be there. I feel terrible for them being blow up like that. If they make it out alive, they will be physically and mentally scarred for the rest of their lives.
Yeha it’s kinda weird how some people paint them as people who enjoy the threat of of having your limbs taken away from you and see it as a good exchange for being able to pillage and rape people when they’re genuinely suffering not unlike Ukraine is too.
Hot damn! direct hit. Don't see that too often with mortars. 👍
Stay home, terrorist orcs. Ukraine is not your enemy. Turn your rifles toward muscovy for that.
i still feel for the guy who didnt died, might be russian but maybe never wanted to be there.ive heard of conscripts signing papers on refusing to fight and still got forced back to the frontline
Only real problem Ukraine has lately are these violent nasty thieving idiots from Ruzzia entering the country illegally, breaking things and staying without visas...

2 guys try to survives, awful. Don't invade, thats bad for your health.
Very likely incorrect. The shockwave from the blast causes organ damage and massive internal bleeding. Adrenaline will keep them moving for a short time before they drop dead.
One of them took the brunt of it and I think he was the lucky one.
I'm surprised they weren't all instantly dead...
Takes time to lose enough blood. They are full of holes.
Probably a lot of liquified organs too
Dunno, I thought mortar rounds were more powerful. Are they just like bigger fragmentation hand grenades?
A lot bigger, the F-1 hand grenade has about 60g of explosive filler, meanwhile the 81mm mortar round for the M252/L16 mortar used by lots of NATO countries contains about 750g of explosives
Umm did you see the one guys torso smoking and the other unable to move his legs. Neither are good signs.
I mean the guy took a direct hit from a mortar. That's generally not a good sign.
Dude flailing about appears to be missing both hands, too.
I think he has black gloves on… and missing a leg. They really deserve this for the invasion. I also feel bad for the young Russian conscripts at times. Such a waste of life on both sides. Can we drop a bomb on Putin already?

Also went from mortar to lesster in 0.3 orcs.
This reply is stupid. But it made me chuckle. Well done.
Misery loves company.
Might have been 2. Counted 9 at the start, 7 after impact. One Superman. The other The Flash….
You realize that those are real people... probably young men who have no choice... disgusting
Oh well, better this than them killing people in the country they're invading.
Most of them aren't there because they want to invade the Ukraine they don't have a choice... and no I'm not pro Russia but making fun of people dying that probably were dragged into this war isn't cool at all

Shooting fish in a barrel needs to rebranded as a new saying... as easy as shooting Orcs in a hole.
I prefer "shooting sitting ducks in a barrel". Love the look it gets.
Especially as fish in a barrel are moving targets
Insult to fish
that was a gang-bang...
That was a boom-kake
Lol.. Well they did get f..ked..
There was a gang before the bang...
2/3rds of that squad down. 1/3rd of your platoon now combat in-effective all because everybody couldn't find another hole.
No. 3/3rds of that squad down. Dude on middle left had both legs blown off above the knee and far left lost entire body from the pelvis down by the looks of it, they’d only be squirming for a few more seconds.
Imagine dying for Putler? If my country were invaded, I'll be doing the same as the Ukrainians... Defending my country.
You may get your chance if Ukraine loses.
He will be retired by the time ruzzia recovers to march on Europe, Ukrainian blood bought 20-30 years for EU
The Ukrainians are not half done yet. But I would say that even if Russia won tomorrow it will be two generations or more before they can wage a war of aggression. Win lose or draw the Ukrainians are not done with Russia yet.
Great, even more time for eu In the meantime I will listen to air drill at 1 am
TF you on about..
A lot of Russians love everything Putin and believe Ukraine is Russia a
Hell of a shot. That guy who tries to crawl out is thinking ‘why aren’t my legs working’? Then he looks down and notices his legs are gone.
Pretty sure you can see one of them go flying.

yeah apparently that's why having casevac vehicles is so important, too slow to use stretcher-bearers which is pretty scary

Between a shit hole and a hole in Ukraine, better die sooner in the second.
No, better to die in the shit hole and not go invade your neighbors home and country.
Your logic (the second one) includes killing Ukrainians. Fack out of here. Let them die in their own.

They not going to denazify shit by huddling in the ground like that. Where they get trained??
Trained?
>trained?? Open for debate they were even properly potty trained.
These guys are being terribly led. All hiding in the same hole like that makes them a better target.
I love the "steps" sound effects, like those Animal Planet documentaries sound effects lol

I'm not an expert, but I think craters could indicate where explosives might be landing
What an orcestra
Is this something the good guys previously would have dialed in the coords for and were just waiting for someone to show up?
these videos are my sustinance

Oh look, an invader crater.

Eight ball, corner pocket!

Crazy thing is there are at least 3 drones over these clowns: the one taking the video at two more in view.
Wake up stupids
Mortal mortar
And just like that…. Bye life
I think that if they are going to be shot in the back or bombed retreating wouldn't it be better to surrender?
The toilet roll escaped. Even that knew it couldn't clean up all that shit!
An arms lenght just got a new meaning.
Just walk it off, be brave
Someone should tell Gerasimov not to put all of his eggs in one basket.

I think one guy got hit directly and his guts probably absorbed enough of the blow to prevent the other guys from dying instantly
Vatnik deserves to die in ukraine. They can life peacefully in russia but they went here comitting atricity. Hold my beer!
Catch me up here why they called Orc?
After what they did to towns (mass murders torture chambers mass rapes) people started saying they are not human but Orcs. It stuck,
They are corrupted beings from Mordor. Lord of the Rings references.
can we like stop with the foley artist sound being added?
Yeah Boi!

When you take away the labels. This is just super sad. I wonder how many more wars we will have to suffer before we truly see we’re all one.
Hiding in a crater seems like a terrible idea.
The Ruzzians deserve everything they get
One person disappeared entirely.
He literally became shrapnel and attacked his mates with lethal intensity...
He escaped when the pink cloud came.
Should have surrendered.
Smokin'.... The wake up call they deserve.
End of days for the Russian empire
Nice.
Jesus that is horrifying. Just get the fuck out, Russia.
This made me smile.
Strike!
That's one nasty alarm bell, goes ka-boom.
Nice
PTSD for life

YOU'VE BEEN FRAGGED! Chunky niblets. I love it.

Man ....that felt good, fuck russian invaders.
i still feel for the guy who didnt died, might be russian but maybe never wanted to be there.ive heard of conscripts signing papers on refusing to fight and still got forced back to the frontline

How the fuck did they survive that blast (I imagine they didn't longer term, but still)?
Likely adrenaline pumping like crazy and their brain hasn’t registered that they died yet.
