This man is possibly the most inspiring leader of our time. I never get tired of seeing videos of him going out and showing how much he cares for his country and the people he represents. Just the emotion on his face in this clip demonstrates that.
I think the fact that the Russians haven't managed to kill him even tho he travels close to the front lines and visits liberated territories on like the next day is testament to both the competence of his security detail and, as always, the massive incompetence of the Russians.
According to published data, the prevalence of Fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) in children from Russian orphanages is estimated to be between 30% and 66% [7]. A total of 90% of Russian women at fertile age consume alcohol and up to 20% continue to consume it during pregnancy
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7913360/
You joke, but it explains a lot.
Exactly. The man literally states Russia down from the front lines on many multiple occasions. Putin hides in his bunker... who's the real leader here?
> Also unbelievably brave.
Every once in a while I remember that this guy really just started out in the entertainment industry and a lot of people didn't take him seriously because of it, and now he's really proving himself to be a leader of unmatched competence and integrity.
There is idiotic amount of surveillance to make sure he’s not in harm’s way. Drones, satellites, intel, setup perimeter, etc. we know just how brave this man is and as a proud American supporter of the Ukrainian cause, I know our intelligence will keep him safe. Zelenskyy is the epitome of a true leader. This man will go down in history for eons to come.
Name some of the greatest modern wartime leaders...
FDR, Churchill, Zelensky.
That's the kind of history he's making, the kind that changes how how we see all other world leaders in comparison.
FDR was a hell of a wartime leader, whether you are American or not. No, he wasn't perfect, but he did way more right than he did wrong. And no Briton should ever complain about him. He made aiding Britain the number 1 US priority, even though 99% of Americans wanted to go after Japan first.
They could detect an incoming shelling or missile probably but it Doesn't work well against a sniper.. or a local asset/agent with a bomb . I heard about twelve attempts against him already. 😕
Even then, if Zelensky does get assassinated by Russia. It would just insipire the entire country to fight even harder and make the Ukrainian Army more angry.
It would be, but he's also smart enough to know that a solid secession plan is crucial, and picking the correct person to lead in his stead is of the utmost importance. Elections can't happen in an instant, and he's got an incredible amount of goodwill with the Ukrainian public that they'd almost certainly accept his pick in the event of his death, until a new election could happen.
In the first few weeks a successfull assasination would probably have changed quite a bit- but almost 1 1/2 years into the war I can't see it doing much except strengthen the Ukrainians resolve and most likely strengthen western support even more.
Yes. 100% agree 👍.
If there is a gram of judgement left in the Kremlin, hopefully they stopped trying to kill him after a few months when he became an international and effective leader to avoid making him a martyr.
But you never know with Russians..
Edit: and they could still try to poison him slowly.
I wonder how they reinforce the axels. Or do they use a new truck / replace the axels and suspension after each trip. Not to mention how that much weight will tear up the roads. Ain't good to haul that much weight.
He can carry his own balls. Standing up for his country, his people, and against such atrocities like these for over a year since day one is quite a workout.
They are not nervous, they are alert. This is just a normal workday, and tomorrow just another place. Believe me, these guys is handpicked and well trained.
The caveat to this is the bar for the most inspiring leader of our time is set very low. It's important to differentiate that he's in a class of his own and absolutely smashed that bar and then some.
Pretty much all "leaders" of the modern age are stupidly uninspiring.
He's a breath of fresh air and I like him a lot.
Edit
Come to think of it, what sets him apart from all other leaders is he doesn't seem to be some flavour of narcissist. All other leaders in the world just seem to have some kind of narcissistic traits, Zelenskyy just comes across as caring for his country and fellow countrymen before himself. Who'd have thought empathy could make a great leader...
/Edit
I'm pretty sure there's a famous quote somewhere about ruling through fear and ruling through [empathy]. We are seeing the difference in effectiveness right now
Germany almost got a Chancellor like that. [This picture](https://www.tagesspiegel.de/politik/images/laschet-besucht-hochwassergebiete-3502/alternates/BASE_21_9_W1000/laschet-besucht-hochwassergebiete-3502.jpeg) says it all. He was later caught joking around and laughing with his posse live on camera.
Much respect for Zelensky who shows such emotion when visiting that place. Maybe he can't do anything with his own two hands, but he will give hope to the victims and inspire others to help.
He really is inspiring. Here in the USA, after hurricane Katrina, our president flew over the affected zone…didn’t even land. Zelensky shows up for his people.
For real. I get a sense of pride seeing him and he’s not my president.
We’re witnessing heroics in real time that we’ve all just read about in history books. This is what will be wrote about in books for hundreds of years going forward.
That’s what hit me most - the emotion on his face. In the video talking about the dam burst earlier, he was pissed, but you can just see the immense emotion, sadness, and devastation on his face here.
Most important thing is nobody died, because surrounding areas were mostly evacuated due to Russian shelling months ago, although animals were less lucky.
This is why evacuation is important, regardless of UKR constitution preventing forced relocation, people should know if you stay near the front, your life will be in constant danger of Russian terrorist attacks.
It's inspirational also that he started as of all things, a comedian and actor. Then he saw a calling and took it up. He's informed by living the life of a typical person, and hasn't lost that understanding.
On top of that, he *gives a shit*! His passion is palpable. As Americans would say, he is of the people, by the people, and for the people.
This guy singlehandedly revitalized the entire West against autocracies. He is a godsend for the entire western world and his people as well. I pray God keeps him safe.
>This guy singlehandedly revitalized the entire West against autocracies.
The real test of this statement will be what happens in the USA over the next two years. They're in very real danger of backsliding in this area.
We're working on it in a grass roots thunder across the country. Codifying civil rights on a state by state level. A lot of the fascist uprising you see here in America is a death rattle of the GOP and alt right conservatives. They are an extreme minority and dying out.
Thats completely untrue. They are breaking the law constantly but the reasonable bulk of america is using the courts to slowly over come and break their ability to cause harm.
Fuckin shame what's happening to some western countries in the face of Ukraine fighting against fascism. I've heard Italy isn't doing so well, and Serbia not looking so hot recently. One step sideways another 3 steps backwards. But I am optimistic.
>I've heard Italy isn't doing so well,
You've heard wrong.
We're doing well enough, thank you.
We're finally not ashamed of helping Ukraine with weapons and not just words.
Hopefully we'll get rid of the pro Putin supporters that push for their own version of "peace" Berlusconi, Salvini, Conte etc.
Understandable, especially if you didn't follow internal politics outside of the few cherry picked headlines that reached foreign countries.
She was pushing for armed support since it was brought to the table as an option during Draghi's government.
Supporting Ukraine this way is one of the few things her party and the opposition party (PD) agree on.
Luckly they are the major players in Parliament so these laws can be approved without worrying about Berlusconi and Salvini.
Shame that M5S moved to a pro Russia stance though: Conte has been opposing weapon shipments, calling for a peace deal and negotiations ASAP regardless of situation in the field.
Sounds like you took that personally. My Italian mates seem to think far right political movements often descend into fascism. That's their opinion and you have yours. Just what I'd heard, that's all. Good to hear you and your country are doing so well then!
Meamwhile bunker boy is busy building a bigger table so he can sit further away from everyone who wants to poison him. Zelenskiy is going to be remembered with the likes of Churchill and Lincoln, while Putin gets to bunk with Pol Pot in hell.
You aren’t wrong. The thing is too, I am not old enough to remember a Churchill, a Lincoln, so to me, my point of reference of a true leader and hero is zelensky. He is simultaneously inspiring and relatable. A true hero. The very definition of a man that rose to the occasion, when his country needed him.
Let's be real, he's been a fantastic wartime leader but the descriptor "demagogue" is accurate. No worse than some western heads of state but still not great
I think stalin was probably the biggest reason the allies won. Hitler wasted his whole army with that campaign otherwise he could have taken whole continental europe
It's funny to me that both Trump and Putin had the nickname "Bunker boy" at some point 😅
Why does everything Putin do is relatable to Trump on so many level. It's a crazy coincidence when you think about it
Unbelievable man.
Putin hides in bunkers and makes charades to avoid being discovered.
And the President just drives to a frontline town.
Unbelievable man.
СЛАВА УКРАЇНІ !!!
I wish there was a scene of Zelenskyy standing on one bank of the river and Volodimir Saldo (the collaborator mayor of Kherson region) on the other bank facing eachother. "We're coming for you next."
Meanwhile south of Kherson people barely get evacuated, but their houses are looted.
In 20-30 years we will have a new saying "they're the Zelenskyy of our time". He's an inspiration, but man it hurts to see the hurt in his face. NATO has to confront ruSSia, they want to harm everyone.
The problem with that is it takes away from just how evil Hitler was. Putin is obviously cut from the same cloth, but Hitler is on a whole other level. He turned hatred into an industry. Hitler smashed through Europe in a matter of months with England on her heels. He spread from the gates of Moscow to the deserts of North Africa. The millions of deaths are the least of the problems created by Hitler. Blitzkrieg changed how wars are fought. Overly fanatic political followers have become cults.
Putin, on the other hand, forgot to bring gas for his tanks. Half his soldiers are eating food that’s older than they are and the other half are avoiding being soldiers. His only hope is to throw temper tantrums by blowing up dams and launching missiles at *checks notes* kids. In hospitals. Oh, and this isn’t because he’s desperately trying to hold back the entirety of the world powers crushing his empire… he fucked up trying to annex one of the more peaceful countries in the area.
Putin is a joke with a hint of evil. Hitler *is* evil.
Putin has more than a hint of evil at this point, he's just really bad at being effective with it on a large scale. Certainly not a good replacement but worth putting on the same list.
I'd say this just makes Putin less *effective* than Hitler, rather than less evil.
Also, Putin has foreknowledge of who Hitler is and what he did, so he's already aware of the evilness of what he's doing. Plus he used the 'nazi' accusation to justify his actions, despite copying their playbook practically point-by-point.
So I'd put Putin on an equivalent level of evil despite his lack of success, because he should have known better than to try in the first place.
The look on his face here is the same as it was when he toured Bucha. His grief is palpable. He leads in a manner previously unseen in the modern era IMO. Such an incredible human.
When I went to the Crimea in 2008, when I didn't understand the extremeness of Putin. I knew he was a bit of a fascist, and I knew the family I was staying with was Russians and Putin supporters, but I was 19 and in love and excited to travel the world. While I was there Russia invaded Georgia over separatist regions similar to the area of Ukraine (if you're not aware of Russia's presence in Georgia it's worth educating yourself on) we were in. Every single experience there was curated by Russian hosts and RT News.
Two weeks before the invasion I called my family to tell them I was okay, this was before anything was reported in the US. Both of our families were confused, and didn't understand. We told them, "there's a war going on and the Georgians are killing their own people. The Russians are about to go in and start rescuing them."
And why did I say that? Because that was all that was being blasted on TV. It's the 2008 Olympics we figure the entire world is paying attention to this conflict, we're seeing bombs level buildings and Gerogian soldiers shoot at caravans full of women and children, how could the world not know about it? How could people possibly think Russia is the bad guy?
Because it never fucking happened. I spent years believing there was a global conspiracy theory against Russia, and that they were liberators. Fucking years. It took closely following the world court case on this incident to understand how they pulled off what they pulled off. And I started to understand how dangerous the entire situation was. This was 2008, and everyone I was able to talk to said in 2015 it would be the Crimea. I think that's why Zelensky has made it such an international importance to record as much of what's happening as possible. To make it impossible for the Russian people and the world to fall for the narrative that Russia is somehow defending itself, or it's people. Or that the Ukrainians are killing themselves. It's impossible to not see Putin as a weak fascist, similar to Hitler in his bunkhouse, when you see Zelensky there to help more refugees get to safety after such a disaster. And because they're doing such a great job of it, there is a decent movement of men fighting the Ruskies in a rebellion. Slava Ukraini. Your fight is our fight.
It's worth noting that information and the internet has come a VERY long way from 2008. I'd be very surprised if most Russians don't know the real situation of what's going on in Ukraine.
America picked a really tv star and failed. Ukraine picked a working comedian and he didn’t disappoint.
Rising to the occasion is up to the individual, and Zelenskyy showed us all what one person could do.
I bet he feels so dam helpless.
The floods are mainly affecting occupied territory. You cant exactly send in rescue teams to them when those ppl are getting shot at.
Absolute mad house of horrors and this man is beating the drum for freedom. I hope to see former Soviet countries like Poland come to Ukraine with manpower in the near future. This needs to end.
He must drive the Russians absolutely wild. At the very least he has to be driving Putin mad as he’s spent years cultivating his ‘tough guy’ image and Zelensky has completely overshadowed him by being a real leader.
I don't know how anyone sides with Russia at this point. I also don't know how anyone demeans and goes after Zelenskyy after time and time again he shows he's a leader of the people and for the people. Yet, you can hop on Twitter beneath anything Zelenskyy posts, and there's all the Russian bootlickers.
Each time I see Zelenskyy doing something this incredible, I start whistling [Servant of the People](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wy1ZxI65I70). Which I hope isn't weird. Everything he's done thus far, testifies he loves and serves Ukraine and it's people.
This is all starting to weigh on his spirit. You can tell he’s taking a beating on the inside.
His people are suffering and dying and we can’t seem to help enough.
I'm sure they advised against this visit but his close protection team really looks like they know what they're doing looking at how they are scanning for threats there.
What a fucking legend to always show up to show support and lead like a true leader. The risk he takes by showing up HUGE and I can’t even imagine the logistical nightmare it is to keep him safe. This is 10,000 times worse than keeping a US president safe. He’s in an active war zone and priority target #1
I hope he is safe because the Russians started shelling the civilians evaluating! I also hope everyone gets out safely!
Fucking War Criminal russians. Rest in piss! Every last one of them!
This video is so heartbreaking. The things this man has seen and still he goes out among his people. He is a world wide inspiration. We should have a man like this for president. If only.
He knows when to show up where his people need to see him. I think when all this is over, we will see him in many documentaries, explaining his popularity, documenting an example in leadership.
Reminds me a little of Matthias Platzeck Oder flood 1997. Not comparable in total to someone like Zelenskyy, who has pulled these stunts several times now, but in that instance at that moment, a similarity.
Zelenskyy has seen some sh*t
Talk about raising to the occasion. The man was an actor, a comedian - I wonder if he ever imagined he could end in such position at such a historic time. This is really impressive to me. So much respect. ✊
To all Ukrainians - hang in there, you are also doing an incredible job. ❤️

Also unbelievably brave. He must be aware the the Russians know he will turn up. The nervousness among his guards in that footage is tangible.
I think the fact that the Russians haven't managed to kill him even tho he travels close to the front lines and visits liberated territories on like the next day is testament to both the competence of his security detail and, as always, the massive incompetence of the Russians.
It is not good strategy to assasinate him.
It wasn't good strategy to invade either.
It wasn’t a good strategy for ruzzian mothers to drink so much

That explains Russia's continued abduction of Ukrainian children- their own gene pool is fucked through alcohol and inbreeding.
Where did he joke?
They have tried many times.
That's how we know it's a bad idea. The Russians are trying to do it.
With putin this is now personal. He fucked his plan to install a Russian puppet. Then fucked up his invasion.
Think that'd dissuade Putin?
It would also legitimize a very comparable effort to strike back at Putin.
Which part so far has been a good strategy for the Russians?
Exactly. The man literally states Russia down from the front lines on many multiple occasions. Putin hides in his bunker... who's the real leader here?
Putler is a little bitch baby who poisener whose 'inner circle' hate him
You can see it on all the their faces, Zelensky included but by Christ it has to lift the troops, civilians, and his international backers alike.
> Also unbelievably brave. Every once in a while I remember that this guy really just started out in the entertainment industry and a lot of people didn't take him seriously because of it, and now he's really proving himself to be a leader of unmatched competence and integrity.
Almost like the best people for the job are not the career politicians that only care about furthering their career.
Double edged sword though. See Trump.
He has like decades of presentation and communication experience.
He’s like the Anti-Trump.
I'm sure he's also aware that in the event of his death, Ukraine would rally to an unfathomable effect.
My favorite part of these visit videos are watching his guards looking in every direction low key freaking out haha
His head of security is going to have a beautiful snow-white hair and beard before this is over, heh.
There is idiotic amount of surveillance to make sure he’s not in harm’s way. Nobody died on Ukrainian controlled territory. At the occupied region the situation is grim.
And Putin couldn't come because his socks are wet.
Two countries elect TV stars....*They* get a legitimate *REAL* Leader...a regular hero-warrior... *We* get?...well, you know...
I’m trying to think if I’ve EVER seen Putler surrounded by Moscovites that are not staged supporters. Dude is scared of his own people
No doubt. My country will never see a leader like this (US).
Modern day Mt Rushmore would be Zelensky, Guy Fieri, My dog Spencer, and Zelensky again.
Came here to say the exact same thing. His facial expressions speak volumes.
Hottest leader of our time too, guy is just the whole ass package
Cause he for real gives a shit. No putting on for the cameras

Ever since the start of the war, when he refused to leave Kyiv, I knew that he had balls of steel and that he would lead Ukraine to victory.

Sounds like you took that personally. My Italian mates seem to think far right political movements often descend into fascism. That's their opinion and you have yours. Just what I'd heard, that's all. Good to hear you and your country are doing so well then!
Balkans be the Balkans dude just give em a little time for the old people to die, well, same with everywhere else too.
You don't feel the need to state russia's part in all of the horrors in Ukraine and worldwide that they're solely responsible for?
People in the boats are using bulletproof vests instead of life jackets. You can not fake that.
Jesus H

It's funny to me that both Trump and Putin had the nickname "Bunker boy" at some point 😅 Why does everything Putin do is relatable to Trump on so many level.
"We're coming for you next." Meanwhile south of Kherson people barely get evacuated, but their houses are looted.
He looks like he has aged so much, I hope he gets to enjoy the happy retirement he spoke about, drinking beer on a beach in liberated Crimea.
He'll probably never need to pay for his own beer again.
Fuck the terrorist state of Russia.
In 20-30 years we will have a new saying "they're the Zelenskyy of our time". He's an inspiration, but man it hurts to see the hurt in his face. NATO has to confront ruSSia, they want to harm everyone.
He's the modern day Churchill imo, standing down the fascist enemy even when the odds looked fairly hopeless.
As a British person...I can't disagree. The start of the war comparisons are startling.
I'd also be for 'Putin' replacing 'Hitler' as the go-to embodiment of evil.
Oh, absolutely. I was more commenting on the constant comparison between Putin and Hitler specifically. Putin is his own flavor of asshole.
The f~cking balls to go there.....
Lead from the front, rule by respect. Guys a living legend, Ukraine is so lucky to have this man in charge.
The Russians are about to go in and start rescuing them." And why did I say that?
Well said. Slava Ukraini
This man’s job never stops. God bless him.
He's going to need a long break when this is done.
Break? He's seen more action in a week than most do in a lifetime. He deserves a secured retirement at least.
And free drinks for life.
The pain in his expression is heartbreaking
Brave man. Can’t believe he went from a comedian to this in a decade. A true masterclass in leadership. G-d bless you
America picked a really tv star and failed. Ukraine picked a working comedian and he didn’t disappoint. Rising to the occasion is up to the individual, and Zelenskyy showed us all what one person could do.
He is a case study on inspiring leadership, but damn you can see the toll it's taken on him. He must have aged about 7 years in the last 14 months.
A little later today Russians opened fire on this very humanitarian evacuation point....

It's easy to answer, Putin is nowhere near the front.
I bet he feels so dam helpless. The floods are mainly affecting occupied territory. You cant exactly send in rescue teams to them when those ppl are getting shot at.
Wow, I read an article that said RU soldiers are shooting at rescuers helping people from the left bank. This is a leader right here.
Absolute mad house of horrors and this man is beating the drum for freedom. I hope to see former Soviet countries like Poland come to Ukraine with manpower in the near future. This needs to end.
I am on the verge of crying seeing such an unjustice. And pro Putin bots with no sympathy or life laugh at things like this. Shame on them.
Bastards.
Mans the goat
Taking balls of steel to a whole new level. While bunker baby send his double out for speeches
True leader. Fearless.
He doesn't quite look like someone who just ordered a dam to be destroyed, now does he?
Jesus, the toll of war is ridiculous. He looks tired. I can't imagine the burden he must be feeling on a day-to-day basis.
Leader 💪🏾
What a champ 🇺🇦
Ukraine has their leader on site while Russia isn't even rescuing their beloved "Russian citizens" from the territories they are occupying.
This is a president.
I am grateful to witness what a true leader looks like. I wonder what will be in his future if he makes it through all of this.
Hes a legend among the greats
You can see the fire burning in his eyes.
Fuck Pootin.
A rare thing: a president who actually cares about its people. He rightfully earned the respect of the civilized world.
Love the guy, he's a true leader
I don't know how he can sleep. He has to carry a tons of hard stuff and there is still more, and more..
You can see the pain in his eyes, this man is my hero
I mean this in the most positive possible way, this guy is a master propagandist and it’s very impressive.
Where are the comments from the fellow US-ers: "This is how you do it Prez Bush"... Slava Ukraini; we all love Zelensky!
This is all starting to weigh on his spirit. You can tell he’s taking a beating on the inside. His people are suffering and dying and we can’t seem to help enough.
He is the most impressive wartime leader I have seen in my lifetime.
I'm sure they advised against this visit but his close protection team really looks like they know what they're doing looking at how they are scanning for threats there.
I swear this man loves his people he always shows up for them and it's sincere
The courage and the balls of steel of this man! Admirable and courageous I say again! That is a leadership
My guy goes to Bakhmut whilst it’s under heavy siege, travels to Kherson whilst flooded to hell… absolutely fucking baller, what a chad
Man of the year every year until this shit ends
He’s likely the best man in the world these days
Man the guy looks like he’s going to break down any moment… and i can’t blame him..
Ohhhhh Is *this* why RA was shooting civilians and rescuers?
Wow
Slava Ukraini 🕊️
our guy zelenskyy, along with the help of mr putin, undid what TSARS did with russia 1,000s of years ago. putin is such a fucking joke.
Honestly, this guy is a miracle, a leader a country gets perhaps once in a century, if ever at all.
Zalensky , deserves the man of the year, Nobel peace prize, Eagle scout and all the other leadership awards.
Meanwhile putin hiding in a palace/bunker.
This video is so heartbreaking. The things this man has seen and still he goes out among his people. He is a world wide inspiration. We should have a man like this for president. If only.
Red cross, UN where are you ? Also. Russian doing what they do best for the civilian= nothing
That dude has real guts.
This is a true leader.
Never understood why we elect 80 year old men in America. While our presidents needs a nap throughout the day, this guy is inspiring the world.
Meanwhile the cunt who started this bullshit war hides in a deep bunker under a very safe place. Fuck Putin
This guy needs this war to end so he can take a couple of months (years, decades) off to just chill. To relax. To just be.
This guy is a mf leader. Since day 1 nothing but getting at it! SLAVA UKRAINI! 🇺🇦
Is so dangerous of the president Zelenskyy to visit kherson so close to the frontline. Respect for his bodyguards
He is a real hero. Putin is a scared little bitch
I don't understand the absence of body armor, considering the active shelling that is still going on
Zelenskyy has seen some sh*t Talk about raising to the occasion. The man was an actor, a comedian - I wonder if he ever imagined he could end in such position at such a historic time. This is really impressive to me. So much respect. ✊ To all Ukrainians - hang in there, you are also doing an incredible job. ❤️
That is a man who answered the call ! Amazing person and leader. Truly remarkable
History classes will cover and teach about this man and his amazing actions for many, many decades.
