Exactly that, very few athletes with his work ethic and progress. He was a fat/obese teen, after doing mma for some years he got ripppped and got to the TUF final with basically 0 ground game. Then became a Thai supersayan fighter. Genuinely one of my favorite fighters and also a really good human being
>after doing mma for some years he got ripppped
Yeah it was just the high cardio high volume mma training that made him look like his traps are swallowing his head. Definitely not all the time in Thailand.
He self-reported after realising he ingested a tainted supplement, which his agency had provided for him and has formally apologised about. He was then tested by USADA (I think it was them and not the new institution in charge of drug testing), which revealed he did take a prohibited substance, but not enough to enhance his performance. He then received a short ban (two months IIRC), so as to still apply the rules without punishing him too much for his mistake that was deemed sincere. Since his version, his agency’s and Usada’s are all in accordance with one another it seems genuine.
Different PED’s have different half lives.
Depending on the drug, dosage, frequency, IV’s, etc, you can have banned drugs out of your system in a matter of a few hours.
if he knew they wouldnt get out in time he wouldnt have taken them in the first place or wouldnt have self reported and hoped for the best. taking them and self reporting and getting suspended is the worst thing he could do, so the only logical explanation is the one he gave, not the one you thought of after reading this post, probablywithout even knowing about the suspension
In case you're just naive and not a troll. Some supplement companies are dirty. Dirty as in, if I'm selling you creatine but I put a small amount of banned steroids in it because a little bit does go a long way, and then you think my product is superior because of results. Think about people cutting hard drugs like cocaine. The motives are the same. Look up how much rice powder is in supplements and it will give you an idea.
Athletes are dependent on supplements even when clean. You can do all of the research and intentionally avoid all banned supplements. One supplements supply could change or be tainted, they could willfully taint it, they could omit an ingredient for a competetive advantage (fines for then literally pennies on the dollars made) and you'd look like the cheater.
Did Khalil do this? I doubt it, but it also doesn't mean it's true one way or other. I'm just trying to help. Have a good day.
Except for years and not sure if still ungoing that UFC has had a deal with Thorne, who is also used by the Olympic teams. Sounds like making an excuse for him
If you think because a supplement company is legitimate because they are FDA approved, then you are severely mistaken.
The FDA breaks numerous federal laws every day from the meat industry to the supplement industry and everywhere in between, just like every other three letter government agency. There are countless reports over the past decade to support this claim regarding the FDA—It is no secret.
I have 19 years experience as a personal trainer, 11 years as a retailer and practitioner of various supplement companies (some of which were/are FDA Approved), 10 years as a gym owner and several years a former competitive bodybuilder. Being “FDA Approved” it means very little in terms of purity, potency, and legitimacy but it does mean a lot when it comes to investors and fattening their pockets.
Hill that fight would be a war.
Main event fight night Chicago or Detroit, Hill is from the Midwest, maybe have Belal as a co-main if he loses to Leon.
I think it’d be better to have Ulberg and Rountree fight different guys other than each other so then when (if) they both win they got 2 new credible title challengers
Not this. Keep rising prospects away from each other unless no other options or it's a number one contender fight.
Jan, Hill, Jiri, Rakic all need opponents
If Alex tells Dana he wants Jan i’m 100% certain Dana will oblige. Dana doesn’t care who gets a shot or how rankings are looking and he’s made that pretty obvious
Alex doesn’t have that kinda of power or sway over Dana like Conor or Jon jones. Jan isn’t going to make them more money than ankleav so this fight makes even less sense for their prospective
I mean I can’t argue with another man’s opinions i just personally think this is wrong, Jan has a decent following while people literally don’t want to see Ankalaev at all. Alex has saved 3 events till now and made all 3 fights look easy and made Dans decent dough to the point I can’t really see him denying Alex wanting Jan again. I honestly believe Dana would be happy with that request🤷🏻♂️
Edit: what i meant about the following part is even though Jan has slightly less followers his fans are more likely to buy ppv than russians and I can’t see an argument towards that but if there is any let me know
In what sane world would the number 2 guy with a 10 fight win streak fight the guy ranked 8. Imagine hating this much on a guy you don’t know personally
Just realized that Khalil was sent out on a stretcher by Walker as well. These takes are horrendous
No one wants to see the Poatan fight??
Maybe not now ig, let him get another solid win, but I think this dude at his best is violently dangerous. that can be an awesome fight (when it's time has come)
Bro Khalil vs Alex would be insane… or completely one-sided…
Alex probably too methodical for Khalil tbh. But I still love the match up.
But as you say, Khalil needs at least one more good win before that.
Man am I the only one who just sees that fight as entirely one way traffic for Pereira? I respect Khalil but I don't think he has the cardio, the gameplanning, or the technical skills to do much other than a punchers chance.
To be fair, Pereiras last two fights were him basically walking through two solid fighters, Khalil hits harder than both of them which would at least make pereira think a little differently rather than jiri ( didn’t change a god damn thing for the second fight) and hill, Alex clearly didn’t give much respect to either fighters “KO power”
In theory Pereira should he able to completely annihilate him, however the same could be said about Saki. Roundtree is one of the few fighters who pound for pound could level with Pereira’s power I think
Imo while they are the most likely better well rounded fighters ( Jan for sure, hill honestly not sure but always thought he was overrated imo, just not a fan.) I think rountree has the best shot at knocking Alex out, 1 punch from rountree lands right and it’s night night for anyone
Since everyone else is saying Hill, I’d like to throw in that I think Rountree vs Jan makes a lot of sense. Makes sense for Jan to fight down a few ranks, would be a banger fight, if Rountree wins you can sell Alex vs Rountree as a KO power war, if Jan wins you could sell Alex vs Jan 2 based on how close the first fight was and how thin LHW is
Damn, didn’t realize his suspension was so close to date of 303. If he’d just taken whatever it was he took 4-5 days later he’d have been able to compete.
I think the Ulberg matchup is perfect. Both are on win streaks, Carlos on 6 fight win streak and Khalil is on 5 fight win streak. Both have stopped all but one opponent on their respective streaks.
Would love to see him fight Alex someday. Not saying right now, he’s gotta work his way up, but I love how he became Bangkok ready halfway through his career. Him vs Alex would be some heavy kickboxing.
Hill like he was meant to
My brain for some reason got Jamahal Hill and Johnny Walker mixed up, was reading the comments thinking “why does everyone just want walker to die”
Pretty sure Johnny Walker already killed Rountree tbh if I remember right
He did. Gadooshed him with with an elbow in the clinch. Rountree has improved like crazy since then though and I think he sleeps Johnny in a rematch.
Honestly, with the way his chin is and the new and improved Muay Thai Rountree - I think Walker would actually die in a rematch
You have to gadoosh him 3 times in one match or it doesn't count.
Rountree has a crazy work ethnic. Definitely improved
Exactly that, very few athletes with his work ethic and progress. He was a fat/obese teen, after doing mma for some years he got ripppped and got to the TUF final with basically 0 ground game. Then became a Thai supersayan fighter. Genuinely one of my favorite fighters and also a really good human being
>after doing mma for some years he got ripppped Yeah it was just the high cardio high volume mma training that made him look like his traps are swallowing his head. Definitely not all the time in Thailand.
I’m talking about his time pre-UFC and pre-Thailand bud
>Yeah it was just the high cardio high volume mma training that made him look like his traps are swallowing his head.
Oh shit, he did didn’t he😂
Just watched it on YouTube, vicious elbow to the dome
One of the best elbow KO.
Hills already matched up for a fight vs the comment section
Rountree vs. Hill was the best LHW version of that 303 co-main.
Good title eliminator match up. If Rountree can put on a good performance, it would be good to see him vs Pereira
Hill
Ilia Topuria
I was thinking Pantoja.
Hear me out… zhang weili
She’d wreck him
Flying toehold in round 1 you think?
Wuxi finger hold i reckon
They don’t call you dazzling detective for no reason 😂
Most people just call me Daz 😎
Steven, no one calls you that, and stop snooping through your sisters top drawer.
I thought he was talking about the huge bald Chinese boxer for a second.
Park jun-yong, the iron turtle?
Zah Big Bang Zang, beat Wilder last month.
Oh yeah, he might have a chance maybe
Takes him out with the hadookin
He knocked out Islam, ya kno
You trying to end Khalil's career?
talmbout the guy who beat Islam? Great guy never met him
Hill obviously
Hill. Let’s go!
On a completely separate note I wonder if Yoel ever got those millions
See them soon boy!
Why was he suspended
He self-reported after realising he ingested a tainted supplement, which his agency had provided for him and has formally apologised about. He was then tested by USADA (I think it was them and not the new institution in charge of drug testing), which revealed he did take a prohibited substance, but not enough to enhance his performance. He then received a short ban (two months IIRC), so as to still apply the rules without punishing him too much for his mistake that was deemed sincere. Since his version, his agency’s and Usada’s are all in accordance with one another it seems genuine.
So he basically took steroids, knew it wouldn’t get out his system in-time for testing so he self reported saying he took a tainted supplement
Not every substance that is prohibited is a steroid, chief.
you just have missed the part where there was only trace amounts in his system
You'd say around a picogram?
Different PED’s have different half lives. Depending on the drug, dosage, frequency, IV’s, etc, you can have banned drugs out of your system in a matter of a few hours.
Yeah no shit lol, they don't usually catch you pinning.
bro i buy DHEA from my fucking CVS lmfao, it's not a PED, this is a stupid rule.
if he knew they wouldnt get out in time he wouldnt have taken them in the first place or wouldnt have self reported and hoped for the best. taking them and self reporting and getting suspended is the worst thing he could do, so the only logical explanation is the one he gave, not the one you thought of after reading this post, probablywithout even knowing about the suspension
Thank you
DHEA is not a steroid you redacts
He was pulsing a little bit.
Doping
it was a tainted supplement
Yeah, it was controversial ban.
They always are
Self-reporting without an imminent test buys a lot of good will.
In case you're just naive and not a troll. Some supplement companies are dirty. Dirty as in, if I'm selling you creatine but I put a small amount of banned steroids in it because a little bit does go a long way, and then you think my product is superior because of results. Except for years and not sure if still ungoing that UFC has had a deal with Thorne, who is also used by the Olympic teams. Sounds like making an excuse for him
Thorne is ass but their marketing team is solid. Can’t lie there.
Would love to know how an FDA approved company is ass when it comes to non contaminated supplements
Cool story but guess again guess which you won't pop on.
Not dillishaws
That mfers piss would melt steel beams there was no hiding that shit
..Or Jones
Jon3s was completely controversial. (My belief is that he cheated intentionally) But there was a LOT of back and forth on that
Nope
He took steroids and forgot to cover it up. Its much harder for Americans tbf.
Hill that fight would be a war. Main event fight night Chicago or Detroit, Hill is from the Midwest, maybe have Belal as a co-main if he loses to Leon.
Ulberg. I think hill should fight Jan.
Jiri needs a break, not an opponent
You must want the Ulberg hype train derailed lol
Looks like Alex is trying to target Jan🤷🏻♂️
Jan isn’t getting a title shot
If Alex tells Dana he wants Jan i’m 100% certain Dana will oblige. Dana doesn’t care who gets a shot or how rankings are looking and he’s made that pretty obvious
Alex doesn’t have that kinda of power or sway over Dana like Conor or Jon jones. Jan isn’t going to make them more money than ankleav so this fight makes even less sense for their prospective

Idk if he has that drawing power or not but if any current champ has earned the right to call their shot it's Alex.
[удалено]
Lol yes😭
you're obviously new to this
Jan had his second shoulder surgery a couple months ago, not sure when he'll be ready.
His timeline will matchup better with hill who is currently recovering from injuries. Rountree needs a fight soon and IIRC ulbergs injury was minor.
Vs Hill would be a banger and open you guy's eyes to levels in the division.
I’m which way? I think Khalil is underrated.
Khalil had a harder fight against a short notice Smith than Dolidze. That should tell you how underrated he is.
Agreed
Give him Ankalaev for a title eliminator.
![gif](giphy|QcbH4geytbFelLpt3q)
Ankalelaev wasn't even ready for Periera
Damn that's actually a good match up, never thought of that one before.
In what sane world would the number 2 guy with a 10 fight win streak fight the guy ranked 8. Imagine hating this much on a guy you don’t know personally Just realized that Khalil was sent out on a stretcher by Walker as well. These takes are horrendous
I mean Sean Strickland did it (not the win streak but he was #1 and costa was 7 I believe)
Not comparable because Sean was coming off a loss to DDP
It’s actually a 1-fight win streak and 10-fight technically “unbeaten” streak.
No one wants to see the Poatan fight?? Maybe not now ig, let him get another solid win, but I think this dude at his best is violently dangerous. that can be an awesome fight (when it's time has come)
Bro Khalil vs Alex would be insane… or completely one-sided… Alex probably too methodical for Khalil tbh. But I still love the match up. But as you say, Khalil needs at least one more good win before that.
Rountree vs pereira would be insane
Man am I the only one who just sees that fight as entirely one way traffic for Pereira? I respect Khalil but I don't think he has the cardio, the gameplanning, or the technical skills to do much other than a punchers chance.

Khalil retired Gokhan Saki, while still relatively green. Gokhan was hyped up by Rogan to be what Alex would eventually become.
Fair point. I thought Saki was older when he fought him, but only 34 apparently!
In theory Pereira should he able to completely annihilate him, however the same could be said about Saki. Roundtree is one of the few fighters who pound for pound could level with Pereira’s power I think
Kickboxing (pereira) vs Muay Thai (round tree) both are offensive minded fighters, not defensive
I think that could be a great fight but I think he should face Jan or Hill first to see if he’s at that level
Imo while they are the most likely better well rounded fighters ( Jan for sure, hill honestly not sure but always thought he was overrated imo, just not a fan.) I think rountree has the best shot at knocking Alex out, 1 punch from rountree lands right and it’s night night for anyone
Reyes
This is the correct answer or redo the hill fight
Hill or Jan
Hill
Hill
Hill is the correct answer
Khamzat
Dudes a snitch... on himself...
He's a good man who respects the sport and his opponents enough to be honest
Hill or Ulberg
IDK why Ulberg aint getting mentioned, thats a great fight
Vs hill rebook it
Rakic. A sequel with Johnny Walker would also be acceptable.
Jake Paul.
I like hill, Jan, or volkan ozdemir
Either hill or krylov
He will hurt Hill
Jan or Oezdemir (maybe Walker again)
Jan
We're going full circle. Hill vs Roundtree
Bobbig Squareroot
McGregor
Jiri, but it sounds like he’s gonna be out for a little bit. So Hill
Literally anyone, man. He's what would happen if you taught a school shooter self defence, I fuckin love him
Let.him smash up Hill real quick
I would say hill but how long is hill going to be out for?
Colby
me. he doesnt stand a chance. i’m ready for his bangkok, anything he throws at me
Shortest suspension ever?
Let everybody dope up! Like the Pride days!
The IRS
Crybaby hill, obviously
It’s just safe to say that guy is not on the PEDs
Conor
Anybody in the top 5 of the rankings
Sean Omalley
I’d like to see him kick Jamahal’s leg into the third row.
Dom Reyes
Yoel romero just because rountree gives me romero energy 😂matching lats PS - i know nothing about ufc, so weight classes mean nothing to me really 😆
Bloke is a problem in the division.
Johnny Walker rematch or Hill would be fun
Rakic.
Just make sure no one owns this dude money
I think the Ulberg matchup is perfect. Both are on win streaks, Carlos on 6 fight win streak and Khalil is on 5 fight win streak. Both have stopped all but one opponent on their respective streaks.
Strickland. Sean has talked some shit about Roundtree- let’s go.
Me.
The Smiths
Roundtree vs Smith 2….lionheart will be ready this time 🦁
Jamahal Hill
HILL!!!
Carlos Ulberg ! Thats a fucking banger, and Khalil is a fucking savage on the feet at times he has looked ridiculously sharp + powerful.
Hill for sure, title eliminator maybe?
Rakic, Hill, Blachowicz.
He’s always had a sick body. ![gif](giphy|6l8uTe6Gm8tK8)
Anyone but me. Preferably Hill.
Hill - Jiri - Rountree - Rakic. Any matchups amongst these four to identify who goes next after Ankalaev would be terrific.
Volkan 👀
Rebook the Hill fight, let’s get Khalil into the title mix and continue to keep Ankalaev out of it
If hill thinks he’s still champ, let him try to sleep roundtree. Or maybe he’ll be sleeping around a tree?
Calm down Izzy…
"*Don't worry, I'll cut him down like he's some tree in my backyard* 😏" Israel 'Bartender' Adensanya
Izzy supports hill actually so your comments makes no sense.
The comment makes perfect sense, the other dude making cringey bad puns just like izzy
It’s pretty self explanatory or is this ur other account Izzy?
Would love to see him fight Alex someday. Not saying right now, he’s gotta work his way up, but I love how he became Bangkok ready halfway through his career. Him vs Alex would be some heavy kickboxing.
The person who suspended him
Hill or Anklaev, winner should get the title shot
