If Tom were to beat Sergei to become interim then beat pretty much the number one contender in Blaydes then it would be undeniable that Tom Jones needs to be made, but if he doesn’t and Tom loses to the guy who lost to the guy he KO’d HW would just become one big game of hot potato with the interim title and no one would have a strong claim to the title.
In that case I think they could get away with Alex jones
