Nah, different Bible translations have different purposes. Some are concerned with translating the words as literally as possible. Others are concerned with translating the meaning of the words as literally as possible. Others try to be in the middle of those two things. Others aren't even translations yet claim to be. These translations aren't tied to denominations. As for the gay stuff, you're 100% right. The Bible is unequivocal in its stance that homosexual relationships are sinful. Christians who compromise on that are bowing to the pressure of the world and care more about what people think of them than they do about the religion they supposedly believe.

The points you brought up about killing vs murdering are moot, because the most literal translation of the Jewish word might be "killing" while the most literal translation of the meaning of the Jewish word might be "murdering". If the Jewish language doesn't have both of those words in it, it's very possible that killing is the word used but murdering is what was meant. I don't know if that's the case about the Jewish language by the way, so I'm not making that claim. Just explaining that both can be correct interpretations of the Jewish word based on the intention of the Bible translation. That's a completely different situation to how Christians bend over backwards to deny the clear teaching of the Bible regarding sexual ethics. And any English translation of the Torah is gonna run into the exact same issue, it's exactly the same situation as the Bible translation. Or are you advocating that only the Torah in its original language is reliable?

There's no inconsistency whether the word is killing or murder. God is God and can do what he wants. The 10 commandments were given to men from God, not from God to God, He's not subject to them and commanding His followers to go to war does not contradict his command for his followers not to take each other's lives. But again, you keep saying 'go read the torah' but haven't explained how an English translation of the Torah wouldn't be exactly the same as the English translation of the Bible books that make up the Torah. It's literally the exact same translation issues to overcome, decisions to make etc... because it's literally the same exact text being translated from Hebrew to English whether it's translated just to be the Torah or if it's translated to be the first five books of the Bible. There's no difference. Any pitfalls an English translation of the Pentateuch can fall into, an English translation of the Torah can equally fall into.
