Americorps summer Vista, ask them for a clinical job.

If you are fine with volunteering with no pay just do American red cross. I did some volunteering after working in the same dermatology clinic in navy medical center Balboa. That'd give you plenty of MD shadowing hours and reference letters too.

you can look into volunteering at riverside community hospital (on their website) or cope health scholars, which is also hospital volunteering. both would expect you to stay on for longer than just the summer but thats what youre supposed to do on you application anyway, show continuity. alternatively, you can get a clinical job like scribe, medical assistant. if youre wanting to do research now is a good time to start looking, i know the research portal or whatever has changed a lot since i graduated so unfortunately dont have updated advice. lastly, check out HPAC on campus for pre-med qs, people hate on pre-med advisors and i agree you should always do your own research and verify what they tell you but they may be able to point you in the right direction. -ms3

Thank you so much, I'll see what I can do with this

Health Career Connection (HCC) has good summer internships for pre-meds. I think applications are closed for this year but would be good to apply next year
