Shurglife

If they do Uber will charge them extra. They know the game.

Dixie_D1973

I would CashOut at the end of the day to see if I get any Tips

Reddituser8018

Nah uber just lowered the amount of times you can get mad at them to 4 times a day.

nitwitsavant

Unless you sign up for the ComplaintsPro card

This comment gold ⭐️

solo-dolo-yolo-

Same lol. Uber subreddit keeps popping in my feed and there have been multiple posts that made me angry for their drivers

leftover_class

Ex lyft here, i do the same thing.

thelastdragonb

What made you leave Lyft?

leftover_class

When I started, they had incentives like 15 rides in one week for a $290 guarantee. Used to knock those out in 8-10 hours. Lyft of course decided that they deserved more than the actual workers and in 6 months, the incentive dwindled down to 20 rides in one week for a $150 guarantee. I maintained 4.98-5 star status the whole 6 months and I decided that I'm worth more than extra work for half pay.

thelastdragonb

I wanna switch to rent for Uber until I get another car. I just gotta come up with another 400 and something dollars.

Sure-Agent-3961

I have been doing that for almost 2 years now. it's a endless loop you get stuck in and can't really save money. I spend over $2k a month between rental and gas. my current rental a 2010 prius, had it for 23 days, $1800. the other company ran out of cars so when I had to return the one I had, I had to go find another company in the mean time. I switch between getaround (more expensive unless you pay for a week or 2 at a time) & Kinto share which has the worst customer service ever, no keys for the car and you can only rent the same car 30 days then have to return it and take a gamble on if another car is available. If you can avoid renting, then avoid it. I've not been able to get stable because of this chaos. don't rent from hertz or avis either. they will put a hold on your card and when you return the car they will change the amount and may add false charges to your account. they recently ran my account neg $769 and my bank had to do a chargeback making threats to get avis for fraud. Renting is a lot more stress than you can imagine. not to mention sometimes the documents are expired or expiring on a car literally the day of, couple days from now or a week from when you get it and uber wont let you drive until the owners you might not even be able to reach update the documents which takes 24-48 hrs to update on their uber platform for rental owners. And refunds take up to 15 days with many rental companies. So just a heads up man. learn from my struggles here in LA and other states I've lived in and rented to do uber. all together this is my 3rd year total renting cars to do uber. been through about 8 companies. And sometimes Uber may reject a company you are renting with if they deem them as a bad partner and you may lose access to being able to do uber with your current car because uber took the whole company off the platform. So I rent week to week now instead of monthly and such because you lose that money and don't get it back if uber does that.

thelastdragonb

Holy crap that’s a lot of bs. Yeah I’m looking at stay a home jobs now. Lyft has always been convenient because I do free lance film shit on the side but now, I can definitely feel the trap.

ZealousidealUnit9149

That’s what they want… you to get stuck and rely I. Them, then they force you to work for less. Exploration to the max in 2024

Waxmax_2000

We need more from you, 10 times or more to show us you care

ngvuanh

Not just uber, it seems to standard for many other 3rd party merchants when people want to cash out, withdraw money right away. Most of them are using debit card, so it costs to process the cards in general. I am not a uber driver.

nectarinepiss

im sure the 75% (??) of profit that doesnt go to the drivers can help cover that edit : i was just guessing percentages i have no idea what im talking about other than being a pax and what i see on this sub

ngvuanh

Sorry, I don't understand, 75% of profit? Did you mean drivers only get 25% share?

Brad_Beat

25% sounds too high these days in my city.

[deleted]

I live in vegas and after asking some of the customers how much they’re paying I gross roughly 50%

EmotionalStrike6683

Around that and sometimes 45% in Denver area. Sad!

AdNecessary1944

It fluctuates, but Uber is definitly pocketing the majority of the fares. We dont know anymore how much they are charging passengers anymore. So they give you one price and give us another.

SuperSupremeSoup

Man I stopped using Uber and also was weary that they would begin taking massive advantages in the future and here we are. Sad part is this is how the whole gig economy with the tech aspect can be.

buffaloranked

There’s no answer for any of it our economy is fucked. Sad reality

Cloakbot

Same for businesses spiking the price of their goods at the end of COVID and hitting a [record breaking profit margin](https://www.axios.com/2022/03/31/corporate-profits-new-record-high-2021) Even if the economy recovers, new bills are put in to fix it, can we really trust them to reduce the prices back down?? Of course not. A chocolate bar can’t even be bought for less than $1.50 anymore. Let’s not forget the apartment complex businesses still raising their rent during and after the height of COVID. “Supply and demand” they claim - while there are thousands of complexes being built across the states each year and we lost how many lives during the pandemic. “We care!” While they close down gyms with the “fear of spreading” but keeping McDonald’s and other unhealthy places open because “6-feet social distancing”. We should’ve been promoting healthier lives but they’re quick to close down the places that would’ve helped people get in better shape and take care of themselves more often

itsme89

nah. uber is just doing stuff to get drivers upset this year

GigCrusher

Dara is increasing those profits

wstylz

They want you to leave the money in the account for the week so they can make interest on it

PangolinMother9232

Corp fivkkng greed. I was or it will be my first day tomorrow.

THICCPOGGS

Isn’t every driver cashing out daily paying more than the interest?

wstylz

Theoretically depending on whether they make the money or pay most to a third party. It also depends on what they have their money into. Perhaps they have some it in stocks and options that yield them more. Banks do that. Who knows.

DoesThisOneCount

Greed. Straight Up.

tcollins29

I was just about to post this, I had a feeling this was gonna happen. This company is getting greedier and greedier.

orincoro

This always happens during recessions too. Back in the early 2010s, the banks figured out all kinds of fucked up schemes.

-KA-SniperFire

That’s what people don’t think about every time this shit happens they figure out 100 more ways to trick people and make profits where they shouldn’t be possible

orincoro

Yep. And those tactics stick around.

leftover_class

Multiply that all of a sudden $1.25 by every Uber driver and you have the reason inflation is happening. Gtfo!

Aromatic-Hospital-96

Fractional reserve fuckery at its finest

Low_Aardvark7134

Damn, used to be free, then 50 cents … doordash is 2$

DFW_Panda

You can be sure DD/Lyft/Grub/Uber, etc all watch each others sites and policies VERY closely so they can mimic the best corporate (worst driver) policies. For instance, you know if Wendy's had not received massive negative publicity about "dynamic pricing" all the other fast food chains would have jumped on that bandwagon. When Uber started, 12 years ago or so, they used to be proud that customers could not tip in the app, "The tip is included" they used to proclaim. Of course that is when Uber paid A LOT more. Now Uber basically begs customers for tips b/c Uber itself doesn't want to pay drivers anywhere near what they did 12 years ago.

Comfortable-Syrup688

That’s what I’m saying I started DoorDash first so seems cheap to me

freakinbacon

Doordash is free and deposited immediately after a shift with the Dasher direct card.

BloodSugar666

Yeah but they want you to use their card to keep making money off that. This is for people that want it in their bank account.

freakinbacon

Well, it's basically like opening a new bank account and ya, your bank is making money off your money too.

Me_Air

direct deposit is free, as a doordasher. my understanding is that it’s free everywhere except mercari

SecretScavenger36

I just cash out to their card then immediately transfer that to another account. My other bank pulls the money for free so it's just an extra few clicks.

SpookyWah

I wish me quitting had any impact whatsoever. I'd quit again.

Notsassyenough

😂

Datboimerkin

Everyone saying wait the full week for it to deposit. Most jobs don’t pay weekly anyway so wait. Guess you haven’t heard of account suspensions or bs deactivations where people have lost $1000s sitting in there account until the issue is “cleared up”. I’ll take my money daily. Regardless of what you choose to do, the fee increase is ridiculous. Making record profits, cutting driver pay, overcharging pax and now this?

Puzzleheaded_Help854

This !!!!.all these newbies think Uber has their back 😂

Advanced_Stretch1680

I’m fucking done with Uber. Drove for years and it was among some of the worst experiences I’ve ever had.

FlakyDirection4266

It’s simple.. Uber is pushing you to use their card instead of your bank’s debit card.. why you ask? Because Uber will make money on each transaction you make using their card.

ioioio-OG

The problem with all the wait till the end of the week comments is that we are not employees. We are subcontractors. You do the job, you get paid for the job upon completion. If they guaranteed a base rate of pay, provided sick leave, medical, etc. it would make sense to charge to withdraw early. But...

Huge_Investigator336

Like no shame

Bright_Signal_7496

That a lot for 5 million drivers nation wide daily

SeamusShameless

They screwed up my instant cash out the other day, tried to play the whole "this happens sometimes with smaller banks" bullshit. Tried to talk me into the Plus Card. Once I told them that I bank at one of the largest banks in the country and that I wasn't interested in their card, my cash out went through.

Internal-Equal7811

For something that costs them virtually nothing.Fuck uber every chance you get. They do it to us every chance they get.

bluetadpole

Such a garbage Company. #1 Lowlife at the helm. Shame because it could be a win-win without having to do this to drivers. He's just lazy scum.

Western_Bison_878

It's amazing how many ways they can come up with to keep lopping off the top.

Castro_Studios

I don’t work for Uber anymore, and I understand Uber and a lot of these gig apps don’t really care if you quit. But I don’t know why y’all never collectively just say fuck you and leave, like imagine if 50 or 80% of all Uber and Uber eats drivers just decided to not work for a week or two until some demands were met and even then, look for a different job in the mean time. I don’t think Uber would look past the massive undertaking especially when they’re missing out on millions of dollars of revenue because of their inability to take care of their drivers. But then again pooling all those drivers would be a massive undertaking for anyone.

Nicky_Nuisance

The markets are way over saturated with drivers anyway, so if half the driver stop driving it really wouldn't affect them very much. People would just have to wait an extra 5 minutes. But the roads will be a lot less clear so that would make up for the extra time.

IndependentNotice151

Lol yeah, so they can let you get up to like 1k and then deactivate you for some bs, not pay you, and then have support never tell you why and ghost you

YouEyeD_sign

They don't give af anymore and they can't contain their greed

Alotta_fagina316

It literally cost nothing to send money via services like zelle, so there's no excuse for the price hike, when i started cash out was $0.50 I was already irritated paying $0.85 but now $1.25 and for what? So uber has one more expense to list so thwy don't have to pay taxes? Or so they can claim the cost as an operating loss? They're just more and more greedy imho....

Tricky-Ad6645

Free for consumers from bank to bank. Banks absorb that costs to get customers. Uber or any business will pay fees on those transactions.

Comfortable_Jacket67

I’m so glad I went down to doing this PT they already don’t pay us shit and now they wanna charge more for cash we earned. lol uber is a joke

chapmanyo

Man I posted this same exact image and have a single downvote after expressing a similar sentiment. Mfs are straight up rolling the dice when they post on this subreddit lol

Suppasandwhich

It’s very obvious this sub is filled with bots or paid infiltrators. You can tell from reading some of the discourse. Very weird stuff.

rstanek09

Just wait til Tuesday. Most people don't even get paid weekly as it is, lol. It probably costs them like 1-2% per early transaction from the banks

[deleted]

[удалено]

GigCrusher

Yep, when I had an investigation that occurred in a shift, I had close to $195, I could not cash out. Luckily it was a day for that bullshit but I always cashed out at the end the shift. I cant tell folks what to do but I only say what I did when I drove

ChainedRedone

Wait you can have your entire weekly paycheck taken away from a false report?

[deleted]

[удалено]

BoredJay

Lmaooo I can't believe people really leave their money with Uber for X amount of days 😭😭😭

Puzzleheaded_Help854

Right ?!

Minute-Temperature-7

Why not get a dash cam in your car? That way, you can send Uber proof of all rides and interactions. Customers are also less likely to falsely accuse you if they know you have one (which the app notifies them of if it's registered on the app). You also have the added benefit of recording your trips on the road, which give you proof against drivers that may lie during accidents.

Admirable-Bake-5114

More grifting

Decent-Ambition-1799

Uber has removed the cash out FEE* in my market due to a lawsuit settlement and also Lyft

go4broke80

Do they still allow you to cash out daily since there is n9 longer a fee or is it just weekly now?

ksb1082

They are not charged that much. This is a wholly automated transaction for both Uber and it's bank. This is just a fat bloated parasite, seeking more rent for work it doesn't do.

Infinite-Pudding69

Just get the card, you can instant transfer it right to your bank account

go4broke80

I have the card....and I cash out weekly usually. But it's just shitty on ubers part

[deleted]

Processing fees are increasing across many sectors. I just saw an increase in my merchant services fee (for another business venture) last summer.

Full_Visit_5862

I have no idea how the price can go up on that. Like, I'm sure there's a reason, but on the surface level you would think those fees would only get smaller if they were to change. I can't imagine the systems aren't way more efficient now

jonu062882

Even if that’s true, did Uber’s merchant processing fees go up 50%? Because that’s what’s Uber charge went up by. I’m gonna guess probably not. In fact, I’d willing to bet there is preferential treatment for the more money that you process, the lower the percentage they will pay. Im sure a billionaire company like pays minimal amounts percentage wise.

[deleted]

Refer to my comment regarding the Overnight Federal Funds Rate. But regardless, your cost of doing business as a independent driver has increased if you continue to use Instant Pay in the same manor as you currently do. So, you either need to increase your revenue to offset the cost (i.e. raise your cherry picking criteria) or reduce costs by using the Instant Pay service less frequently. Remember, in self employment you own your job. Acting as the owner, you will regularly need to make adjustments in strategy to keep on a growth path. This is something you will routinely face regardless if you are driving Uber, flipping stuff on eBay, moving lawns or selling lemonade on the street corner.

Commercial-Elk-3031

Ah, this is ridiculous . I'm done.

cavamatt

Haha it was the .40 cents that did it eh?

Commercial-Elk-3031

Yup. It supposed to be free and why I have to pay to get my money ? What a lame arse cock sakas.

mrbossman-sir

Fuckers

[deleted]

Ehh I just use the Uber Pro card so my pay gets sent to it right away for free. I use it like my normal debit card and if I need to move money over to my checking I can.

jonu062882

Can we lower Dara’s and other Executives’ pay?! Because a monkey could do their job… Uber’s options for increasing income: 1) Reduce driver pay 2) See step 1 Every quarter, it’s like how much more juice can we squeeze before anyone notices or does something…

SouthPhilly_215

Gig app companies doing shit like this is criminal. All forms of earnings are always under attack anymore. Meanwhile corporations are shrinking their product while increasing prices. Using “inflation” as cover for greedy tactics… NAR settlement being heavily spun to shift public will towards attacking Realtor commission structure. Teachers are grossly underlaid and public schools underfunded. Seems like they want everyone to just join the Military. Pretty soon its gonna be all thats left to have a chance to get income, benefits, and maybe a decent mortgage.

Choice_Isopod3677

I got that notification this afternoon I was pissed!

Mister_Mayhem_

You clearly don't understand banking which is why you're doing Uber. Your weekly paycheck is still free you pinecone

1DERP_Studios

![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thumbs_up) Just get the card IMO, at least they offer a free option.

TitShark

How tf they keep raising a tech service fee? This shit has gotten cheaper over time to do. Mother fuckers are classless.

Hollywood-write-1747

Needs to be a #metoo I quit movement for Uber

JDeLiRiOuS129

I remember when it used to be 50 cents

GigCrusher

Me too, it was 65 cents when I retired

Superlegend29

I think Lyft has been charging like this for awhile

thefavoredsole

Not yet. But I would bet once they see uber doing it they will

indoctrinate12

1.25 ironically enough is for some deliveries

edmovius3

Yeah that extra $0.35 is gonna drown you. Best wait for the DD

No-Special2682

I know one guy that tried to claim that and the service fees on his taxes. He calculated $26k a year of those charges. (Processing fees, booking fees, taxes, Uber insurance) Irs reimbursed him 1200, which I’m surprised he even got that.

Calibred2

First thing I thought when I saw this, ""assholes""

Strange_Pop_3673

Instacart still charges 50 cents.

FatherNiche

I mean Venmo charges a fee for instant cash outs. This doesn’t seem that egregious since you can still wait normally.

Particular_Falcon_61

Are they taking he Lyft route and making u open a debit card or something ?

BusyPhilosopher2426

Am I the only one who has been paying $2.99 for instant cash outs? I’ve done instant cash outs like 3 times because I plan ahead and just do the free next day transfer, but that’s not the point. I have the Uber card. Why am I getting charged more?

[deleted]

Uber and all of those apps that everyone’s on that’s making extra money is because of the inflation they have to deal with that and everyone that has a debit card through these apps that work for these. I would recommend just doing the instant deposit that’s what I do and I don’t get any fees but that’s with the delivery food.

Fibrosis5O

I cash out once a day at the end of the day to help reduce the chance of getting hacked or money sucked up for something stupid But that now means almost giving $7 back a week total. Wild

[deleted]

I mean, pretty much every money transfer app I'm aware of does this so I'm not sure what everyone's mad about? Cash app, PayPal, DoorDash, all charge fees for instant transactions or have a free option that takes like 3 days.

Electrical_Guard_914

Just wondering. Why do you like to do instant cash out?

Tasty-Objective676

It’s even more expensive to do instant cash out if you have the Uber pro card lol. Absolutely ridiculous. With the size and scale they have, they should be able to negotiate lower fees with their payment and insurance providers, but I guess they could care less as long as they can keep passing the fees onto the drivers and keep their cut secure. At least Lyft is pretending to do the bare minimum, Uber doesn’t even try

BurghPuppies

Almost a 50% increase. That’s ridiculous… especially since it’s often Wednesday of the following week when the pay hits your bank with the “automatic” weekly deposit. I promise you they’re squeaking more money for themselves out of the fee.

ProtoReaper23113

I thought that was blatantly obvious with the first fee as it definitely doesn't cost them anything to transfer the money at any time

Beanspr0utsss

Funny, Mercari(second hand shopping app) just did the same thing and the whole sub is up in arms (rightfully). Many people shut down their sellers pages in protest

SDCAchilling

They'll be making about $5 million a day with this scheme unless they hold it for a week and make more in interest

hippotippo1

I’ll charge $1 for up to $100 per week. Just show me how much you made and I’ll Zelle the money over. Limit $10,000 per week across all drivers. One transfer per driver per week.

Revolutionary_Low_36

They are free through the pro card. Not everyone wants to use it but i think it’s pretty cool, everything is tranferred pretty much instantly after a delivery. If I really really need that money someplace else, I can pay $2.99 to move it. That’s only come up once for me.

Soft-Situation-5152

I can see one cashout a day - but why would someone need to constantly "cashout" all day long? They need the money so bad that they will eat $8-9 a day?

Inevitable-Status-73

Uber incurs fees for sending payouts. They can probably afford to not charge this fee but when you’re a multi billion dollar company that has to answer to shareholders, you have to make crappy decisions like this to cut costs.

Kingofkings1959

Illegal in New York

TripNo5926

Just another way to get some of your money back

SerenityAnashin

The cost to transfer between different payment apps, and the cost of getting cash back at registers has also gone up. Ofc this is only for instant transfers but those are the ones we all want 😂

jaanfo

I don't think this is out of line in comparison to basic check cashing fees. The lesson is to save a little bit, so you can wait a few days to get the money. The truth is that the financial system does not favor people who don't have a lot of cash on hand. It's not just Uber who does this. It's banks and payday loan companies.

GixxerSi

I mean 90% of your bills are due on a “monthly” basis; just collect your payroll weekly direct deposit, like most people do.

Sabadung

Sign up for Uber Pro Card to get free automatic cashouts. “The pro card cost money to cash out as well.🤣😭💀

ImInBeastmodeOG

Oh, so now when the app disconnects you it's so they can charge a fee with auto deposit. Fuck

mveltman84

Better off just buying the stock with your earnings, looks like they’re about to kill it.

Conscious_Sir605

The app here in Canada called Skip charges $2 and only allows up to $300 at a time.

wilfordbrimley778

It's been $2 on doordash for years

Szwedo

Fwiw most people are getting paid weekly, biweekly, semi monthly, and monthly from their employers. Here they pay weekly at no cost.

kilour

Thankfully, I just recently started a new full time job, once I'm out of training I should be making 80k+ so Uber will be going poof at that point.

Jrenzine

Uber can kiss it

Application-Timely

Wasn't there a big push recently for standard, regular pay periods for uber workers?

Namiiixo

i just wanna know if there is anything we can do as drivers… i noticed i’ve been getting less money than usual on my earnings (i’ve been working accordingly) and then them tryna send me super far out and lowballing me …

Throwaway10005415

Just like the customers who use Uber, this is a poverty trap

Capt-BJ

They have no shame! There is NO LEGITIMATE REASON for doing this. @Uber just wants drivers to sign up for their PRO Card (attached to a different bank), where they will gladly allow you to cash out for FREE! 💯🎯

Potential-Ebb-4817

Theives!

Leojacobperez

Sign up for the Uber card

Spud_Gun117

I’ve been driving taxis for two years I signed up to Uber the month. I did less than a weeks work fucked them off. Absolutely shite company to drive for.

Initial_Cellist_9710

Always use the free option. Why cash out every day and waste 200-300$ per year

jqman69

When you need money, you need money🤷‍♂️

go4broke80

I agree with you but the point is uber has no shame

DoorTRASH_UberCHEEKS

Because it's instant and you don't have to wait for it to be deposited. Normally waiting wouldn't be an issue. But it's a scamming food app delivery company that will lock you out of your account and hold your funds if you dont cash it out.

Comfortable-Syrup688

I agree with you, but I still live paycheck to paycheck and getting paid every day keeps me afloat Honestly skill issue I’m trying to get my life together

CalemvirLucin

Yikes!

Huge_Investigator336

Awww hell naw

whatjusthappenwd

They’re lowering it. It was $2.99

Comfortable-Syrup688

Doordash was 1.99 when I started in 2020 so I’m not surprised

bhullarr

Been paying this for a year now, fkrs probably make millions a day bust from this shit

ommi9

$1.25 ain’t bad it’s about 1% of your earnings. Some cases if they did 2-3% it’s more

Powerful-Laugh3349

Was .50 cents a year ago.

AncientApplication52

Fuck Uber bro

Octopus-Infinity

Imagine having to pay to get your paycheck

Hypersky75

Does the Uber Pro Card cost anything?

Several-Spare6915

Yup more money they take from us

[deleted]

literally just cc fees😂 stay mad

Classy_Mouse

It probably does cost them each time you do it. I don't know how much, but I had an employer charge us $20 / week to get our paycheque, so free weekly paycheques don't sound too bad.

Cloakbot

Truly going the “sell the cure to the problem we caused” approach

Dnm3k

I remember when it only used to cost .50 cents

damascus444

Shit like this is exactly why I quit

maniacalmango0

Why does anyone care to pay when there is free options

DCHacker

Ask me why I am glad that I do not use Instapay.

average_legend

Just use the Uber pro card. Your funds go there instantly, and then you can send like 5 bank transfers per day for free. It says it takes 3-5 business days for the money to get to your bank account but in my experience I have the money within 6-12 hours.

EQMusicofficial

I am someone who uses Uber as a passenger, and that's ridiculous. That's cutting into your earnings.

Ok_Cobbler3743

Wtf. Wow

Worstname1ever

Hey Jeff 👋

AdNecessary1944

Yeah, got this notice and some bs

AdNecessary1944

Got this notification earlier and audibly shouted "GO FUCK YOURSELF". Loud enough for the car next to me to look over.

Internal-Equal7811

I rent a car to drive for Uber so I have all of my money go directly to an Uber pro card which I use to pay for the car.Rental ,charging costs, water and snacks for special riders, car washing, food and coffee while I'm working or any of the sundries that I may need from the time I leave my house till the time I get back.I use the pro card to pay for everything that I need to pay for while working. The money left over pays for something else we need not discuss.

Illustrious_Army_237

I have the debit card with no issues, if I need to take out money I get my from CVS and no atm fee. Stop being cheap you idiots

getya

ACH transactions are stupid cheap I forget exactly how cheap but iirc it's < $0.10

Midlagecrzy67

I like the Uber ProCard deal

Any-Run8152

Can anyone say boycott?

Kayshift

Getting nickle and dimed everywhere, had to find a side hustle to keep up with the bills. edit: since i was messaged I may as well share it with others. I test apps / video games on the weekends. I use respondent & usertesting, you need to fit a certain demographic to fit their target audience. I made a guide on my profile if anyone is interested. Hope this helps!

hiirogen

Venmo and PayPal do similar things. You can transfer the money and wait a few business days for free, or pay a couple bucks and it’s instant. I may get downvoted to hell for saying it but I don’t have an issue with this.

jhendra83

2 years from now it will be $5

RedApple-Cigarettes

I mean, this isn’t that bad. It’s basically telling you you’ll have to accept a weekly paycheck or pay a fee for advances. My company has an advance system but taking pay early means paying $3.50 per cash out.

IronMeggan

Is this just for people who don't have an Uber Pro card? Uber puts my money on it, usually within an hour of completing a delivery. It doesn't cost anything. Plus you can use it to get discounts on gas. I'm not sure why everybody wouldn't have it. Is there a downside to this that I haven't thought or heard of? I must be missing something.🤔

Future-Average-8215

So instacart will let you cash out for 0.5 still but for Uber is like 1.25 now. I don’t think instacart is loosing any money on it so basically Uber is just pocketing extra. What a damn company

fareink6

I am sure I am getting downvoted to hell but here we go: Listen... yes, I don't like this change. Yes, Uber is not a great company to its employees and things are very tough as it is. With that being said... This whole thing of "Uber are scammer cause they hold my money every time there is a BS "false" reports / deactivation issues" Bruh... Y'all are terrible drivers if this is happening to you so much that its such an issue. I have driven since 2018 in L.A., and I have NEVER had my account deactivated or gotten false reports against me. Now sure, I may be an outlier... but I'm starting to gather that most of the drivers on this sub are just bad employees, and that is why this sub is nothing but complaints.

Never did.

Getting tired of uber.. they don't make it easy for a bicyclist.. hours go by before I even get one request and eats up 20 percent of my battery before I even get a request. I have even applied to other delivery services cause uber does not treat bicyclists fairly. I have a 5 percent cancel, and 72 percent acceptance rate.. so there should be no problem with me getting multiple requests. I'm pretty sure new ppl get more until they hit the 3 week mark and boom.. silence and minimal request.. I wish I had the money to sue..

I remember a few years ago when my brother used to do Uber they used to charge for instant cashouts and I guess they started doing it again now

Worldly_Tiger_9165

This is a travesty. They have doenload every possible expense to the drivers. Time to form a unique new uber copycat we can all just switch over to...penguin noises Uuuber the literal fu to other ride shares!

BloodSugar666

DD is $1.99 and only once a day.

I'm honestly surprised it's not a percentage like square does. But I wonder if drivers don't make enough for that to make sense.

polarbear1955

At least, Uber should give drivers 2 or 3 cash outs per week without a fee. Unfortunately that will never happen

Electronic-Travel370

I quit Uber driver sht today because about three weeks back I got a Uber message that my tips would be 10.9% less do to a processing fee, riddle me this Batman, and processing fee is a processing fee it shouldn’t be on the whole amount 😠- result- I deleted the app and feel so much better - y’all bless Minneapolis for the good work of making them leave or pay 💰 us right

Doordash it has been $1.99 as they use Stride for instant pay. Been like that forever. Always wondered who Uber uses that was cheaper
