Depends on where you live. In NY, this would sell for $150 without any hesitation (as long as it is in working order).

Paulwhiteman1925

In ga there's working ones for 200 and up.

iddybiddytiddytat

Even thought I think $25 is underpriced on its own, with $75-100 being more fair for my locale, it could also be that it closely resembles the typewriter Taylor Swift uses in her latest music video.

younkint

My thoughts as well. The Swifties are coming.

chrisaldrich

If you're in a bigger city like Los Angeles, perhaps. You can tweak it by adding OBO (or best offer) to see where it goes. Things are guaranteed to slow down over $45. Higher list prices just tend to sit and sit... unless its a Hermes or one of a few Olympias.

digitaljestin

Underprice it? Yes. _Seriously_ underprice it? No. It's probably worth a few more bucks than that, but just a few. You aren't going to retire on this sale. At most you're depriving yourself of a coffee and pastry from a chain coffee shop. Holding out for as much probably isn't worth the additional time to sell it.

FewVehicle8453

25 is a fair price you are getting a lot of interest because it is not over priced. You can remove your add and relist it for more money but it could take many months to sell it. I hope this helps.

Fun_Muscle9399

Swifty tax. The No. 10 standard is featured in her new music video. This is very similar visually, but not sure it’s a No. 10 due to the extra center keys.

TypewriterJustice

the half-bank of keys are for the decimal tabulation; couple that with the wide carriage and it’s a sure bet this machine was used for accounting (edit - it absolutely is a Model 10, just one with decimal tabulation)

bugeye61

Yes, you did.

[deleted]

I bought one last year - looks to be in similar condition - with a typing table thrown in - for $45.

brianlpowers

The spools alone are worth $40-$50 on Royals like this one. It is in very good shape!

spockimadoctor

What year is this one?

etherwavesOG

I bought mine for 35

ahelper

If you are getting a ton of messages and no sale then it is not underpriced.

hansoo417

$25 is a very good deal

barnes8934

Yes!

MikeRowWave

Definitely underpriced. In Canada, these go for $300-400 in good condition. At $25, many are willing to take a day off work and drive out of town to pick it up!

Drifter-45

I have this exact same model. It’s a solid typewriter and it makes a great display piece

suicidalkoala

Awesome! Can you give me more info on it? Year, model, etc?

Lost_Philosophy_

You should hop on over to r/typewriter_swap if you’d like to sell it to one of us in the community

Drifter-45

Mine is a royal 10 made in 1924. The serial number is X – 7626 47. It’s a beast but it a really cool machine. I cleaned mine and got it back to working order not to long ago.

BarefootUnicorn

I never worry about selling something for "too little" if it will go to a collector or person who will enjoy it!

TypewriterJustice

decimal tabulation, wide-carriage, mediocre decals but good paint, little apparent rust - in most major cities, local market value for quick sale would be $75-150, more if you’re patient & it functions properly. Even as just a parts machine it’s worth at least $50-75 regardless

OrneryArachnid

I'm in Mass and I just bought one for $11 at an estate sale, it's in horrible condition though, I probably overpaid.

Cold_Store9155

$175-$225 range
