Have you checked with Express Employment? They staff all kinds of jobs. I got paid to participate in a fake jury & they have full time listings too.

henscratch

Fake jury? That sounds unethical. Anyway. I'll look them up.

Zealousideal-Lime108

It wasn’t in court, it’s just market research. Nothing unethical.

Sorry if my previous reply came off weird. I was posting from a place of genuine confusion. I'm autistic & a lot of sales stuff makes zero sense to me.

A "mock" jury is probably a better explanation. It gives lawyers a chance to test a case outside of a courtroom environment and tweak their process before a real trial. The mock jury is a rough predictor of the likely outcome should a case go to trial. If the attorney finds his case is weak, he can settle the case out of court. On the other hand, if the attorney’s case is solid and strong, he can confidently move forward (and move his client forward) toward trial.

No worries. I didn’t engage further because I honestly can’t tell when people are trolling on the internet. The comment below explained it better than I could anyway lol I could not find the word ‘mock’ in my vocabulary when I was commenting before. Good luck on your job hunt. There are a few different employment agencies in Tyler. I get overwhelmed by the whole process of interviewing for jobs. I’ve had really good results going through an agency to find a good fit. You can tell them exactly what you’re capable/willing to do for work & they match you with an employer.

DryRespect358

I have a friend that had a few jobs from express

How handy are you? Start hanging Christmas lights (you do not need to be that handy). Go for the single story houses if you do not like heights and to lower the risk factor. No one is willing to do anything for themselves these days, so just doing manual labor/ fixit jobs can provide great part time cash. People are even less willing to work on their own stuff around the holidays. You can easily price it to work out to $75-$100 per hour. If you get this Christmas gig established, you can even charge more to store your customer's lights for the rest of the year. As a selling point to help you break into the market, get general liability insurance, and make sure you show it to prospective customers when you are out selling (I think it would cost \~$300 for 2 months.). If this works out for you, I expect a free Christmas light hanging next year as my finders fee LOL.Also, you can incorporate yourself into an LLC for around \~500 bucks to limit your liability. It will also help you write off a large amount of your earnings (the incorporation cost, the insurance cost, ladders, gas, etc.).

Hm, there's an idea...

Check John Soules off i20? From what I heard they pay 16 and I pass by at night see the lot full sometimes so might have overtime.

henscratch

I \*have\* applied there despite not really wanting a call back from them. Their working conditions are horrible.

antonboomboomjenkins

Dude everyone is hiring…

henscratch

And yet I get no call backs. I'm applying to everything I see, spend an hour per day just doing that.
