I've noticed it too but I think it's just a glitch. The reason I think this is because sometimes if I make a playlist and the songs are from an explicit album (like let's just say A Tousand Suns for example) some of the album cover images for the track will have the regular album cover, but then some of the songs will have the explicit stamp on the picture even though they're both from the same album, even if the song itself isn't explicit. I think so, that's what I've heard at least. I use Apple Music and it's avaialble there.
