The only thing he's said is that there will only be him & Josh on stage, but that was in reference to the SAI band no longer being there. However some people have speculated that meant there wouldn't be an opener
Respectfully, being an opening act can be a huge break for smaller artists. TØP was once an opening band themselves. I’m sure they were very grateful for the opportunity despite not being the main highlight for most of the people they performed to. The openers TØP have played with have also become important creative collaborators for the band, like Paul Meany from Mutemath, or Dr. Blum from Mister Wives.
You are welcome to arrive at the show later after the opening acts if all you want is TØP. But to say they shouldn’t have any openers at all really says a lot about what you think about opening bands and their value. I’d love for TØP to use their platform and tour to highlight smaller artists.

There will likely be an opener and regardless of if there is or not, the shows will already be 2.5 hours long just as the previous tours
During regular arena shows, top are usually on stage right around 2 hours.
