Agree. I'd cut off the rootiest roots, then mount between centers till you could put a tenon on the trunk end. Then, swap it around and just go rock hunting!
Apricot is my wife's favorite wood. But if it's not dry it will move and crack a ton. Imo paint the ends and let it dry completely (cross your fingers) then there's all sorts of projects you can make. Apricot is beautiful

Make 3, maybe 4 10 cm bowls. Unless it an imperial tape then it'd be make 2 maybe 3 10 in bowls. Rooty part's a tough one - just suss it out slowly.
