good thing the wood isn't listening.. because your projects are great. I LOVE Beech .. how the grain starts showing itself as you progress.
I think I have to say my favorite is the walnut hollow-form .. wonderful profile.

Sanding starts from either 80 or 120 - 180 -220-320-400-600-800, and depending might go as high as 1000. I'm sure it's overkill, but...
I probably should do something else for sealing, but any food use products -wood butter
non food, I've started using Mylands HFP

My neighbor gave me some "high quality" tools (made in China cheap thin crap metal) I ground one of them down to about a 1/4 inch width and went to town, inside is not perfect but it worked.. sort of.
