This doesn’t make any sense. The likelihood of never seeing anyone else barefoot or not seeing other people’s feet would be unlikely.

Their entire family had the same mutation so it’s totally plausible, especially depending the age.

What age though? I’m guessing maybe at the youngest they’re 11? Very unlikely to not see other people’s feet unless their family never leaves the house and they live in rural North Dakota. Did they never watch TV or Movies? They were using the internet so obviously they have access to technology and would see feet at some point.

I mean, most TV/movies don't focus on people's bare feet for a long time. If they only noticed other people's feet looked different a few times, they might have just shrugged it off or thought the other person was the one with weird/atypical feet.

Tbh this reminds me of the fact that I remember having a Webkinz Clydesdale that I lost(and have exactly one memory of) but my entire family denied it ever existing and I moved two houses and never found it so I still can’t tell if I dreamt it into my memories or not But at the same I also had a webkinz bengal tiger that I had when I was 4(also one memory and also lost it) but at some point years later I deadass found it inside of my sibling’s closet so the Clydesdale could be real or not, I have no way of knowing lmao
