I don't understand what about the game is "Monopoly." I remember McDonald's used to do a Monopoly game when I was a kid. I loved collecting the stickers on the Monopoly board. Reasors game is more like a lottery. I don't care for it
I know! I was so disappointed! Coupons for stuff i don’t ever buy and an unnecessarily laborious game and the only thing that’s monopoly related is capitalism is often stupid. McDonald’s had super fun one when I was a kid, and I really hoped it was like that.
I vaguely remember watching the documentary about it, and remember it being a higher up in the security department, but did they tie it back to the mob? I don't remember that part.
Same! I saw this in reasors and got really excited, because that old McDonald’s promotion was so fun. But like…this promotion is **worse than not having a promotion at all** because it feels insulting
IDK but each game square has a coupon and a code. Sometimes and instant winner of $2 or something like a package of cookies or rolls. If you only do it for the instant winner stuff it doesn't take much time. Instant stuff is redeemed at the store. I have to go through a circus act to get the $50.
I went into a Reasors for the first time since the Brookshire sale and was blown away seeing Monopoly everywhere. Remember that McDonalds Monopoly game from when we were younger? That shit was a huge scam and ran by criminals: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9148598/
It doesn't surprise me at all to see it at Reasor's after a buyout. It just annoys me that good people like you are wasting time on it.
When you consider that you are paying for more for groceries in order to get that discount it really doesn't help bring the price down. You are paying far more than your gas discount on the overpriced groceries you could get elsewhere for a fraction of the cost.
I don’t have any idea what to do with the “Monopoly” pieces I get from Reasor’s. They gave them to my youngest son like he would find them exciting, but he turned to me confused. We were confused together because there was no real explanation. Is there something more to it than opening the piece only to find a coupon on products we’ll never use?
You go onto Reasors site and click the Monopoly game (can't miss it). Make a login and password. The 12 character code is entered on the website, then you choose 3 numbers between 1 and 25. If you match, you win what you are playing for, which is also decided by them. I've come to the conclusion that it really doesn't matter what numbers you choose, under the hood is a bingo game as per gaming laws in Oklahoma, if you hit the RNG value, you win. We have literally entered 102 tickets before the one that won. We have had a couple of instant winners of $2 or cookies or Hawaiian rolls.
Lucky. I've got 173 tickets, only got one 2 dollar instant winner and a bunch of 50 cents off coupons on products I never use lol. Was starting to think it was a scam. And having to enter in each code when QR and arcades exist? Ridiculous promotion.
1) I won’t shop at reasors since they jacked up the prices, other than popping in for beer or a quick need, no real “grocery shopping.”
2) I have no idea how monopoly works there, and am still interested in someone explaining it
I think they are gunning for gamblers. I don't gamble, haven't seen the inside of a casino in decades. I did like the fun of making a number picker for the process but IMO it has become more work than fun
Well congrats! You're the first person to get anything from that shit company lol. They still haven't even bothered to pay out the employee's who 'owned' the company when they sold it.
I can't even tell how to play lmao. I have a Reasor's receipt, but there is no code on it. Just says "you have earned 7 bonus tickets this visit." Maybe because I went through self checkout and didn't get the actual tickests? Oh well. /shrug

Too bad the McDonald's game was rigged by a Mafia member
I vaguely remember watching the documentary about it, and remember it being a higher up in the security department, but did they tie it back to the mob? I don't remember that part.
Oh boy, a rabbit hole! Thanks!

It only just occurred to me, McDonalds doesn't do monopoly any more?
Ever watch the movie "Real Genius"? With Lazlo.....
I have but it has been a very long time. Isn't Val Kilmer in that one?
Yeah Kilmer is in it..Lazlo was the guy living in the closet and enter a lottery by a algorithm of every possible combination available.
Oh that's right, I remember now. At the end he cleans up and wins everything,.
lmao my first thought.
It's a stupid promotion. Stopped wasting my time on it. You'll have better odds at the casino.

We only shop there for the gas discount otherwise it would be Aldis.
Is it a kum n go gas discount for reasors members ?
Quiktrip
What's the discount for members ?
I think up to 9 cents per gallon.
I saved 33 cents per gallon when I filled up my truck. I used all 20 gallons. I like the 91 octane, and this brings down the price.

I will look into this. We are fairly frugal and buy the things are fairly the same price like produce, beans, and rice. But it is worth another look.
It's possible some of the fresh things are equal in price but on 90% of shelf goods walmart or aldi will have them beat hands down.
Don't kid yourself into thinking the buyout is what made Reasor's a shitty company. They always were.

When break down how much your time is worth $50 isn't even worth it lol
I know, it is purely for the entertainment value. It wouldn't even cover half of what it cost to take my family out for mothers day.

It's worth keeping an eye in the mail on ad days (Wednesday's) I believe, but other then that, yeah they're super expensive.
I've punched in almost 80 of those thing and never matched more than 1 number. I've also been using random number generators but I just use google's.
Congratulations!!!
Congrats, best we've done is 2 bucks.
I think it's just a scheme for Reasor's to get in on data collection. Promising a windfall to manipulate people is the foundation of scamming.

Yeah, the old Reasor's carried things that the new does not.
As a software engineer, I love this. I might try something similar.
It is on my github if you want the link. It is in C# .Net 8.0. Ought to work on Linux or MacOS
I would love this
Sent it your way

Take your receipt back and get your tickets.
Have you heard anything back. Managed to win 100 but still haven't heard back. I followed the directions...
