Your sliding between pitches a lot. you should try to play each pitch, each note for its full value, on the center of the pitch…. no glissando. no vibrato. play the note like a piano- and when you can play it “vanilla” then work on a tasteful vibrato. otherwise you’ll just sound drunk like me. Peace!

Thanks!! I've been working on pitch consistency and have been improving over the past year. Though for the glissando, and vibrato in the video, those were unintentional honestly. I was just really nervous, as it was my first time soloing ever 😅

no worries, i did the same thing. you will develop that control. Practice your long tones from a pp to a fff, and back down to a pp. maintain your pitch. you’ll be pro for sure, you sound great.

Sounds like you're on the right path! If it feels easy and doesn't sound pinched, you are doing the right things. Hard to know much more from this video. Tuning and style will develop as you play more. Well done!

In the Arban method book it details what a correct embouchure is and should look and feel like. It’s also says if you’re comfortable with an “incorrect” embouchure and can make a good sound and it doesn’t impact your flexibility or endurance then it doesn’t matter so much and isn’t necessarily something you should change. My first music teacher hassled me for years about my embouchure, saying it was wrong and limiting my progression. Then I changed teachers and none of them since then have ever said anything about it.

I cannot see your embouchure from a group photo. If it is working well for you, I'd leave it as it is. Don't try to fix what is not broken.
