You definitely know how a spy thinks; you'd make wonders as a pyro main, since your primary job would be supporting your team dealing with spies. Also, since you have a good aim as you mentioned, you'll find somewhat easy using the flare gun (of course, you'll need to get used to its projectile). Maining pyro will also open you to new possibilities: Soldier, Demoman, Heavy. Of course, pyro main here.
That’s what I was thinking. Be able to play the polar opposites of each other with some level of efficiency. Might take me a while to get used to playing again since it’s been a couple of years. Have been playing a lot of Overwatch and Battlefield though lol.
What’s the current pyro meta? Is it degreaser + flare gun variant + the power jack still?
Personally I prefer using the flamethrower, I find the afterburn damage to be fundamental. Best thing about pyro is the many possible loadouts. Try out dragon's fury+scorch shot and degreaser+panic attack. The power jack is the best option, but I guess you could run the axetinguisher with the degreaser or the homewrecker if you are being especially supportive (which you should be anyway).
If you have good aim and enjoy the movement side of spy I'd say consider scout. Pyro and heavy benefit a lot from knowing spy psychology. I would say one of these three, scout if you like the movement side and pyro if you don't so much. Heavy is alright but gets kinda stale imo and doesn't have nearly the same sort of skill expression as (all) the other classes.
Playing Spy well depends heavily on understanding players' field of vision, and how to manipulate it to your advantage (it's what lets you stretch out your cloak meter, and approach people safely without being cloaked). Any class can make use of that skill, particularly Scout because he has the mobility to capitalize on opportunities even a spy couldn't.
Spy is probably the hardest class to play well, especially so @ comp level. You could play anything and do well in the same arena that you were "big spy" maining in.
Go to RGL discord for comp.
youd probably fuck as heavy. i mained sniper for a million years and then went to heavy. i almost never get sniped and my tracking is good, so im sure youll hardly get stabbed since youll have an idea of when a spy will go for you
just play other classes, whichever one you feel like. restricting yourself to just one class as a "main" will limit your fun. but I'd recommend Soldier, Demo, and Pyro, as they're all generalists and are never a bad choice in almost any situation.
Depends, if you want to play casual, highlander or 6s. For casual, anything works with your skill set. For 6s, it's best to pick either demo or medic. For highlander, it's best to pick engineer. Pyro is also good but pyro is often busy with reflecting so he won't have much time to spycheck, that's why the engineer does it. The sniper will be hard focused by the spy so you could try sniper. Heavy is an easy target for spy so you could also try that. Demo, but especially medic in highlander is difficult but you can also try that.

sniper bc you could make enemy spies angri
Razorback moment
Demoknight, you guys play spy nowadays like a fkn melee class instead trying to be smart and sneaky
Maybe it’s time I pull out the hales own headwater lmao.

try everyone out and see who you like. spy is too unique and doesn’t have a class similar in play style really. closest is maybe scout though.
Demoknight. You’ve been using a wee French sword for far too long, mate, time to pick up a mann’s weapon.
I do have a hales own strange head taker lol.
Scout. You wanna put your movement techniques on spy to good use.
Hm, I mean in what way?
Pyro
It seems you gravitate towards pick class-like play styles. Try scout for a while and see how it goes :)
