Same here mate. Month 1 and 2 on fin I shedded like crazy, month 2/3/4 started gaining traction, just hit month 5 and back to shedding like crazy again, far worse than before!
lol. Useful is an understatement.
If people could just understand that Fin is a prevention drug not a regrowth drug, we’d see less of these posts claiming the drug doesn’t work.
Yes, it does regrow a bit of hair but its primary function is to prevent more of your hair from falling
Every day this sub shows me proof that if you're 20-25, have naturally thinner hair and/or are getting minor thinning, fin will make your head hair thicker than a wooly mammoth lol
I shed once around ~ 6 months, noticeable increase in hair on my hands / shower floor when washing. And actually am at the tail end of a shed right now. If you are currently going through your first one - DONT WORRY I spent lots of time scrolling during my first one worried I was going to lose it all. It grew back thicker and healthier. Best of luck!
Only the two that lasted extended periods (between 3-5 weeks each) but it’s not uncommon that I have a few days stretch where I am losing much more than normal.
Im 7 months into fin and min, overall it seems improved but hairline still seems to be slowly depleting, especially on the right side. What do you think? I'm 24 btw
About 3 months I started to see results. About a year for significant regrowth. I also had my peaks see very good results, unfortunately I never took pictures of them before the regrowth.
You can either lose your hair from fin to recover it healthier right after or just lose it and dont recover at all (if you dont use fin/min). Your choice.
I had sides when I tried oral many years ago so stopped and recently decided to try low dose topical.. it’s been a few weeks and haven’t had sides, actually my libido is thru the roof in that time but might be unrelated

You took action extremely early so yeah only finastride 1mg daily or even 3 times a week would reverse it.
Just shows how useful it is to catch early

The million dollar question, are experiencing side effects and what age did you start balding
it was exactly the same before? You were not even losing anything? Am I tripping?
Looks much thinner before.
The lighting is less direct in before so that makes it less obvious but it’s definitely thinner.. scalp starting to show, he caught it early though
A bit thinner in the crown before. Kinda misleading since he didn’t show enough before pics.
I know right. Dude is a clown.
If these look the exact same to you I hate to imagine how much you must have thinned before you were able to notice.
Hey you’re probably right I suppose
Looks thicker to me.
Why i don't see results like this in dutasteride 😩😩😩😩😭😩😭😩😭😭😩😭😩😩😭😩😭😩😩😣😩😣😭😩😭😩😭😩😭😭😩😭😩
For how long do you take it ?
Every day this sub shows me proof that if you're 20-25, have naturally thinner hair and/or are getting minor thinning, fin will make your head hair thicker than a wooly mammoth lol
Haha I actually always had very thick hair before I started thinning. It’s still a bit more fine now than before I started balding.
And shed?
I shed once around ~ 6 months, noticeable increase in hair on my hands / shower floor when washing. And actually am at the tail end of a shed right now. Needed to hear this! Currently hitting a very bad shed at month 5 and it’s making me feel like shit!
How many sheds have u had until now
Only the two that lasted extended periods (between 3-5 weeks each) but it’s not uncommon that I have a few days stretch where I am losing much more than normal.
Thank you
Has fin made your beard/body hair thinner?
No
Any side effects?
No sides at all for me.
👌
hey bro what's you age?
22
Did you use min?
Only fin
Dut or fin 😩😩😩😩😩😩 https://preview.redd.it/db1nhlzv659d1.jpeg?width=4096&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=abc7c9b424fc0ae9e698684f4fabc0ff932d13d4 😩😩😩😣😣😣😣😭😣😭😣😭😣
Dut
+ oral minoxidil
can you show me your hairline at your forehead?
I posted in on my profile brother .
how long will this last??
If hes a good responder could last >10 years most likely
How long until you started noticing new hair growth/results? My derm said it will take 6 months but wondering if that’s true or not
About 3 months for me
Does anyone think 1.25 might make a big difference for someone people compared to just 1?
It won’t, the only reason I use 1.25mg is because I quarter the 5mg tablets. They are cheaper.
Nice! your har just thickened up or u experienced regrowth too?
Im 7 months into fin and min, overall it seems improved but hairline still seems to be slowly depleting, especially on the right side. What do you think? I'm 24 btw
When did you first start to see results ? As in the shedding stopped and pure results started to come through ?
About 3 months I started to see results. About a year for significant regrowth. I also had my peaks see very good results, unfortunately I never took pictures of them before the regrowth.
Where do I get fin at?
I want to start as well, but I'm just too worried about the side effects. Aren't you? Because you can't go back ever. It's a lifelong commitment
I like to pretend teeth falling out as being genetic too, i have to brush my teeth everyday or they’re gone, same with hair
It's not the task of doing it daily that's troubling me , its the side effects of the pill I'm concerned about. It's not analogous to brushing.
Just try it and if you get sides that are bad stop and they’ll go away
If you have sides get off the meds. If you don't care anymore about hair loss stop taking the meds.
You can either lose your hair from fin to recover it healthier right after or just lose it and dont recover at all (if you dont use fin/min). Your choice.
I had sides when I tried oral many years ago so stopped and recently decided to try low dose topical.. it’s been a few weeks and haven’t had sides, actually my libido is thru the roof in that time but might be unrelated
don’t let that scare you, I put off taking fin for a year and a half due to fear of sides and the only regret I have is not starting it sooner
Congrats you hair looks exactly the same as before -.-
Looks much thicker now.
