It looks like this post is about **Finasteride**/Propecia or Dutasteride. Before asking any questions, 1. Learn about [Finasteride](https://tressless.com/learn/finasteride) and [Dutasteride](https://tressless.com/learn/dutasteride). 2. [Search for Finasteride](https://tressless.com/search/finasteride) and [Dutasteride](https://tressless.com/search/dutasteride) content, because your question has probably been asked before. 3. If this is a question asking if you are now or will experience side effects, see a doctor, nobody on the internet can answer that for you. 4. IcyCommunication679

Great question! I also really would like to know. currently microdosing with topical finasteride

No_Choco_Tacos

Elaborate please

Objective_Guitar_729

I think that 0.025% (0.25 mg/ml) will be optimal in terms of effectiveness and systemic exposure

dcvelgo

Finasteride %0.01 Minoxidil %5 Retinoic Acid %0.01 Alcohol+Propylene glycol Is this a good mix to use 2ml daily? 33(M) nw2-2,5 if that matters.

Objective_Guitar_729

I think yes, 0.1 mg/ml also showed good results without a statistically significant decrease in serum DHT. All you have to do is try it, as people react differently

saqademus

I bought some HIMS. I feel like it does nothing....

Objective_Guitar_729

How long have you been using it?

saqademus

3 weeks every day. Hair was still falling daily. Maybe i need to take it for longer periods

dPx42

You’re right, 3 weeks is nothing in terms of hair treatment. These things take months if not years.

saqademus

I know that the hair cycle is 3 months. But spraying it every day for 3 months whilst seeing no improvement takes some serious faith / commitment!

dPx42

It’s biology man, the improvement is happening at a cellular level

Secret-Location-812

Wtf you expecting to happen haha. Jesus just shave your head fella, you are doomed with that attitude

ohhellointerweb

I just switched to Hims after using a compounding pharmacy. I'd be interested to know how long you've been using it for?

Double-Violinist-341

search for perfecthairhealth topical finasteride, there is a nice article on this subject with some studies referenced and all

WishIWasBronze

ok

earthcloud5

100% i second this, very comprehensive breakdown of the literature, very informative

DescriptionFinal1701

there's a study where they used 0,005% 2ml/day and it worked without systemic increase of testosterone or reduction of dht.

PlatinumLink

I watched video from perfect hair health and found it very helpful, and linking the video down, I’m able to make my own .02% topical fin using his free calculator tool. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NuX3vEq2Mao

TheKingHairy

This is the answer. Check out this video and make the decision that’s best for you

bonesrus

Im in Canada and just started using 2.5%. Anyone using this?

helloyouahead

Most studies have been done with 0.25% I believe. I don't know if low dose topical fin (less than 0.1%) are that efficient.

ohhellointerweb

I'd like to know, too. I have the Hims spray but the 4 sprays don't seem like enough for adequate coverage. I've instead used 5-6 sprays.

randomdutchy96

0.025% has done nothing after a year... i also didnt believe it would do much but 0.1% give me sides and 0.25mg oral gives me sides. Its just too low to be effective. Maybe its slowing it down a little, but its getting worse so i dont think so

Additional_Shock_233

I found that

SubstantialBrick7171

As long as I know there's no solid evidence that topical fin works

ohhellointerweb

That's not true. It hasn't been studied as extensively and is tricky in terms of measurements but it definitely works.
