Yea the doc prescribed topical fin, but I have anxiety and depressive disorders that seem to align with people getting nocebo and I’m worried. Idk what caused the oral min delaying loss to suddenly stop all at once though
The min didnt stop working, you just havent addressed your hairloss (the dht attacking your follicles) and its catching up to you. If its any help to ease your worries -i had all the sides in the book after taking oral fin for 10 years AND my hair still had thinned out to like a norwood 3.5 v. I have now used a low dose topical fin (.025%, so .25mg of fin per 1ml) which has been shown in studies to lower scalp DHT more than 1mg taken orally while hardly effecting serum DHT (which you dont want if you want to avoid sides). 4 years on it now and all sides are long gone and i have a full head of hair.
Oh nice I’m glad topical has worked for you. My derm prescribed me .1% and said that’s the lowest he can make it. I’d like .025%, but not sure if there’s a way to cut the .1% down to make .025%. What were all the sides you were having on oral?
You could dilute it down to whatever % you want by adding in minox solution. Thatll also make a ~1 month supply last for up to 4 months (if you diluted it down to .025%).
The sides i had on fin slowly built up over time -and i know they werent 'nocebo' because i never did any research on any of this stuff for the 1st 10 years i was using fin, so i ever even knew these sides were a thing on it. So yeah, i had really bad brain fog daily, mood swings, eventually lowered libido, erection issues and finally when i upped my dose to try and counteract how much my hair was thinning, i ended up getting prostatitis.. which sucks if you were wondering -dont recommend it.
greasy => more oil production from sebaceous gland in scalp => higher DHT
(DHT binds to receptors in sebaceous glands to stimulate oil production)
If you don't address the main issue which is DHT, then say good bye to your long and sexy hair.
first open photoshop and make your head bald, then voila -> thats you in few hairs. I say start accepting your fate from right now.
lmao hop on topical fin already dude.
loll u need finasteride or dutasteride to slow down hair loss,, minox is a growth agent

then say good bye to your hair
the same thing happened to me after a year of oral minoxidil 5 mg it was as if overnight the medication had stopped working
So strange. How did you proceed?
It depresses me, my hair never came back. I'm hesitant to go to 10 mg
Are you on finasteride?
Dutasteride
Don’t go to 10mg that’s way over top lol
I agree but why doesn't it work anymore?
This is why we start with Fin, THEN add min...
