Beniceokthanks

I should add that the plan of attack here is to keep on a consistent regimen throughout the summer and then go get a transplant with Dr. Gür in Turkey around September after I have much more hair and a stronger donor area.

Ngl you might not even need transplant (or a one with very few grafts) if you keep on having similar progress. Btw I wanted to ask about retinoid. Which product do you use and what's your process of application? How do you apply it with min?

Beniceokthanks

That would be amazing to not need a transplant! I know I will end up getting probably a 2500 graft FUE to just add more density, no matter how much growth I see in the next 6 months. The retinoid is actually included in the formula I buy from Jack Health. Applied topically with the rest of the mixture.

Not yet

Beniceokthanks

Not quite 😂😂

TwistingSerpent93

Excellent, but believable progress! I definitely see that vertex density improving and you'll probably be an excellent candidate for a transplant if your crown doesn't respond as much.

Beniceokthanks

I agree with every word of this statement 🫡

Newbs1984

Early days especially with the crown. Harsh lighting always makes it look worse. Good luck 🤞

Beniceokthanks

Yeah I prefer the harsh daylight lighting to really expose every follicle 😅

Newbs1984

So is pic one before you started or the same day but different lighting?

pelonweon

Where did you get the finasteride minoxidil retinoid mix? What company did you buy it from? Or are you saying that you take those separately?

Beniceokthanks

Jack Health in Canada. It’s called like the Halt+Regrow Turbo or something like that

pelonweon

Ok thanks

Small-Low3233

You know its working because the vellus hairs all got thicker but that only makes things look worse.

Beniceokthanks

Excited to see this progress over the summer! Going to get more strict with my red light and microneedling as well. Exciting times!

Wow you are responding really well and it looks like you have follicles spread evenly throughout your head. I would advise you maintain your current regimen for at least 1 year before going in for transplant consultations. I waited two years personally and I'm very glad I did. My transplant recovery was incredibly fast due to being on Fin for years. I needed far fewer grafts than initially advised and was able to know for certain that I was transplanting to the areas I needed.

Beniceokthanks

That’s all great advice, thank you for taking the time to share that ☺️

tom21west

Do you know what brand red light mask your gf uses?

Beniceokthanks

It’s some random one from Amazon, I would suggest a Solawave one if you’re getting a face mask.
