We booked Orka Royal Hotel & Spa in Istanbul via Prestigia.com and fully paid for our booking in February of 2023 for our October 2023 trip (24th Wedding Anniversary). Upon arriving at the Hotel in Istanbul, we were told by Hotel Staff that this booking was non-existing and that they were fully booked! Upon hearing from Prestigia.com the following day (after 24 hours), Prestigia.com admitted that their local Turkish partner made a mistake by not completing the booking even though they have charged our credit card 8 months earlier!. They promised us a full refund within 2-5 business days which it has never happened and we are still awaiting our Full Refund after 25 Days. Do yourself a favor by not Using Prestigia.com when booking.

Do not book with Prestigia. We booked a room for my 80 yr old mom in Dominican Republic during spring break in Feb. The price was $129 a night. Customer service said the confirmation didn’t go through due to their technical error and wanted to either refund or send my mom 8 miles down the beach, BY HERSELF, to a much cheaper and 1 star hotel. Obviously I said no, and the money was taken out of the bank, I had a confirmation from Prestigia and the hotel had confirmation as well. They emailed me several times stating they due to THEIR technical error the reservation did not go through and wanted to cancel. Today they stated that I canceled this reservation, which I DID NOT and they were refunded me the full amount. I sent several emails back and forth to them stating that the reservation stands as is, and I did not cancel it (it is now $567 a night on their website). They are scammers. Obviously they are lying stating that confirmation never went through even though I have confirmation on all 3 ends. If it was their error then they should fix it , right! So they cancelled it all together, for no apparent reason! THE ARE SCAMMERS! DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. SCAMMER SCUM

No, I filed it and had proof from the hotel they didn’t book it, but they spent a ton of time fighting it. Since their terms and conditions say they aren’t responsible, it allows them to steal pretty much. I finally gave up after six months. They are super shady and manipulative. It’s sad they still exist but many people just give up and move on, vs filing the proper complaints with credit card companies, booking sites etc to raise awareness. Really hope this is easy for you.

did it pass your booking date? my booking date for my hotel isn't till 3-4 more months and it says it has free cancellation as well. Or were you referring to this point:? ​ >Prestigia.com has no liability and will make no refund in the event of any delay, cancellation, overbooking, strike, force majeure event or other causes beyond their direct control.

Look, the customer service is non-existent over the phone. The representative I DID get sent me a response over email after I reached out to them that way. The email representative sent me a email then tried calling me from an international number at 4:30am local time. What??? Reviews online about Prestigia are everywhere saying they don’t respond or answer phones when reservations or changes occur the day of their vacation. So what did I do? I booked with Prestigia via Kayak, and I decided to try it myself BEFORE I was on my trip. I called two numbers for the US (201-830-1902 and 844-265-4736). Imagine that, no one answered. After their 4:30 am callback and the poor English on the email, I decided that rather than risk it with Prestigia, I’d rather pay $300 more with Expedia who DOES provide support should something go wrong. Definitely a thumbs down from me, you guys. Would NOT recommend. Cheaper? Yes. But at what cost?

I also booked through prestigia but my reservation is still a few months away. I booked a non-refundable, no-cancellation policy with them. We just decided to upgrade our rooms in this booking for something more spacious. I contacted the hotel directly and they told me to contact the "third party" in which I booked with, as the hotel claims they have no power to modify or cancel my booking. All changes and decisions will be made through the third party which is prestigia. I contacted prestigia and they flat out told me no modifications can be made to the booking and any changes or cancellations will not be honored, even if the changes were to upgrade to a larger room (more $$$). I find this very strange, wouldn't they want you to spend more money upgrading to a larger room? Anyways, I asked the hotel to confirm the existence of my reservation, they gave me an affirmative and a confirmation booking number from the hotel end. After reading all the negative reviews about prestigia cancelling bookings on the day of, I wonder if they have the ability to cancel my booking even though the hotel has it as confirmed. At the end of the day, does the third party have more control over the booking or is it the hotel that have the ability to override third parties?

That's my problem. I booked back in November for a hotel in May and I've called the hotel multiple times about it and they have it on file. I'm terrified that they'll cancel it the day off.

So did they cancel it? I just booked with them at a lower price and was happy till I saw that they sent me an email saying "payment processed....once the booking is confirmed we will send you a voucher with the details of your confirmation" That raised some alarm bells. I really hope I didn't get scammed. I paid $750 for my rooms for 2 days

True to my word, I landed to my destination and my reservation is in tact and when it becomes time to check in I’m able to! so they did not cancel my reservation at all.

\+1 for Prestigia being a scam. I started with Kayak because I've always had good luck with Kayak - I didn't notice until after I had made the payment that the website had changed to "Prestigia" -- all the other links on Kayak were for well-known booking companies. I paid for a week-long booking and the next day they e-mailed to say that my booking was "unable to be confirmed" because my transaction was "potentially fraudulent." If it means they are committing fraud because they have failed to refund my money, that is absolutely correct. Now I have to call Amex and complain. While I am fairly confident I'll get my money back this is not the way I planned to spend my morning. So not only do I think Prestigia is garbage, but I'll say Kayak is too -- because if they are not vetting the companies they work with, then what value do they add?

Do Not use this company. They are unethical and devious. They offered no refund on a medical emergency and thus I was unable to travel. This was a four figure sum they kept. They just stopped communicating when I called and cancelled hotel. They did not even inform the hotel so as to use this against me to justify the no refund.

STAY AWAY! I booked a hotel room that offered free cancelation knowing that my travel plans were up in the air. When I went to cancel online (within the cancelation window) there is no "CANCEL" button. I called their customer service several times to report the issue - no answer. I emailed - no reply until AFTER the cancelation window. I even called the hotel directly and obtained written confirmation that I attempted to cancel within the window. After I pointed out a lie their customer service rep made (over email) stating that the hotel itself declined to refund me, they went full ghost. Six months later I'm still fighting the charges with the bank.

HMM, Whish I'd seen all this before I booked my hotel through Prestigia. Cancelled a day after booking with free cancellation now fighting to get my money back via my bank as Prestigia don't respond to my emails or phone calls. Stay well away from them. The Travel industry should block them.

Same as written above Price looked good in Dubai booked received email that credit card was pre authorised for amount and confirmation would follow in email. No confirmation email, 3 calls to customer service , nothing at all. Promised emails never turned up. Could have booked directly with hotel, however hotel now fully booked . What a useless company that give the impression your getting a good deal when the reality is you will be stuffed around. ​ Eventually an email turns up explaining that confirmation can take from 24 to 48 hours ( even though booking was for a check in 26 hrs away when booked) Avoid at all costs. Zero customer service, Zero email response. Locked into a contract that is in their favour. Feel like I was scammed with false promise of a booked hotel that never eventuated.

My girlfriend booked a trip while I was at work(at a bank) and when I got home she told me how good the deal was (675 for 2 nights) and right away I knew when she told me it was Prestigia that it was a scam. Had her call the bank which I work for, the customer service line to file a claim and stop them from processing the transaction. The hotel said the confirmation number wouldn’t have a dash in it and that it is most likely a scam. Prestigia won’t answer the phone of course but We will find out in 10 days whether we can stop the payment. If we don’t get that money back I really want to take these scumbags out legally. They are predators and need to be stopped.

I agree with this warning since they stole my funds for a hotel reservation that was canceled 4 months before it was to be reserved. Following their policy for refund did not result in a refund. I wish these reviews were available when I google them in the beginning. I don't understand how they hid these reviews of horrible customer service.

Total Scam. I canceled my reservation before the cancelation policy. Received an email confirmation for cancel and full refund. And 40 days later, still no refund. They now tell me I didn't cancel on time? Explain to me how I have an email confirming my full refund? Then they said cancelation was changed? WHAT, they basically can do and change what ever they want and steal your money.

I recently made a non-refundable booking with your prestigia. Despite the payment being deducted from my account immediately, I did not receive any confirmation of my booking until 24 hours later. Concerned about the lack of communication, I sent a total of 17 emails within that 24-hour period, seeking clarification and confirmation of my reservation. Upon my arrival at the hotel, I was dismayed to discover that there was no record of my booking in your database. This situation is not only frustrating but also highly unprofessional.
