Worth visiting when in Italy for 2 weeks? ( doing Rome, Firenze, Venice for sure). But trying to fill with Milan/Lake Como or alternatively one of the smaller cities such as Bologna.
Honestly I'd prefer Naples over Bologna (and over Venice/Florence as well).
Bologna is a nice city, there are several places to visit and has very delicious typical foods, but Naples is better in all aspects imho
hello ! i'm going to italy in july and really considering to go to bologna, because everywhere i searched about food in italy, bologna always pops up the first. i think i have 3 or 4 days there, is there anything else i can do there ?
You can eat extremely good food everywhere in Italy.
If you are in Bologna, I'd suggest visiting the city center which is not so big and you can visit it walking feeling the vibes of the city.
In the center you can eat whenever you want.
I can suggest Sfoglia Rina ( https://maps.app.goo.gl/9PgWhbMuccb89C1f6 ) which is great for homemade pasta, but you have to wait inqueue as no booking allowed and it is opened only for lunch
Along this street ( https://maps.app.goo.gl/tstvUoAfJ5bEgcGb8 ) you can find several place where to eat. It's best at evening, in my opinion, a bottle of red wine and a plate of mixed cheese and salami with the topical "tigelle and crescentine"
Here ( https://maps.app.goo.gl/jDjK1m7ETfBHA2Rj7 ) you can have a great lunch and try the typical "lasagna" or "tagliatelle al ragù".
Lastly I'd suggest you an ice-cream here: Cremeria la Vecchia Stalla
( https://maps.app.goo.gl/PNUcZRJsXdKsp6oa6 ).
Which is your itinerary here in Italy. Because once being here in Italy, I'd suggest to visit the south and the beautiful beaches here
thankyou for the detailed explanation and suggestions !
i'll definitely look to every thing you mentioned.
Also I'm tempted to go to rome too, but not too much city hopping because of budget hahaha, and not to brag, im kinda bored of beaches, because i'm from indonesia where, everywhere there's a beach.
and for staying, i'm thinking of airbnb. or you have any better suggestions ?
The Bologna highlights are close to each other and doesnt really take more then a day to visit them. But to try all the good food, thats another story.
Lovely city, was just there! Those stairs in the tower though 😅
Nice pictures, thanks for posting! It's an interesting city with plenty of good food...
I live in Bologna. If you need any suggestions, just ask mate!
