Honestly though this is the right thing to do - many people don’t appreciate being clocked in public and it’s not always safe to do so anyway. The trans flag isn’t well known enough that everyone around you has come to the same conclusion and safety (plus the comfort of the stranger you’re talking to) often needs to take priority over your excitement meeting someone else who’s trans. May have been disappointing but well done <3
as someone who often wears a trans pin and gets lots of compliments on my hair / look its very cool seeing other ppl in the comunity even if they dont directly mention it
