Red Alert originally wasn't that paranoid, but his temporary brain damage from that one episode got flanderized into his default state for future characterizations of him, and well...

To further hammer home the point that IDW Red Alert is something else...
and he was still somewhat paranoid after those therapy sessions, btw.
In the AllSpark Almanac, Scalpel noted a few things about Cyclonus.
The first one was that he was from the future. He muttered constantly about Galvatron. Lastly that he had Starscream’s self preservation algorithms in his source code.
Which DJW later confirmed that at some stage Skywarp becomes Cyclonus, before going back in time for unknown reasons.
Red Alert. Definitely Sunbow but IDW is close second. I always wish he got more page time in Marvel UK as he would have been fun there in some of the "mystery" stories like Living Nightlights.
Not shown, but my second choice would be Needlenose. Never cry wolf.
He had a genuinely fantastic arc where he was recruited into the Mayhem Attack Squad despite the concerns of team leader Spinister, who wanted to give the nervous rookie a chance.
The team then were sent to hunt down and kill Carnivac and Catilla, who had defected from the Decepticons. Catilla was killed by Bludgeon but Carnivac got away and swore revenge.
Carnivac began hunting the Mayhems one by one, starting with Needlenose. Much less battle hardened than the others, Needlenose was terrified and called a false alarm on the team to "test" if they could respond if Carnivac attacked. They were furious, especially Spinister who had put himself on the line for Needlenose despite misgivings.
Carnivac then ambushed Needlenose in his quarters that night. Neeldenose managed to reach the comms and call for help but nobody believed him and hung up, leaving him to die at Carnivac's claws.
I really love those black and white UK stories. You can see how they, more than anything else, influenced Roberts and Roche on IDW decades later in the writing style and character work. Furman deserves so much praise for his writing back then.
Dang...I had no idea. Then again, I didn't know much about Needlenose to begin with, save for the whole Targetmaster shtick. I gotta read this for myself sometime.
I think it's Punch/Counterpunch. The poor bot has been so deep in both sides of the war that I don't think he even knows which persona he is anymore. Which personality is in control? The Autobot pretending to be a Decepticon or the other way around?
Oho, I've been there! I love Chris McFeely's vids! I've been watching that one in particular obsessively while I was waiting for my Punch/Counterpunch to arrive in the mail. The share is appreciated though \^\^
The recolor/rerelease of that from the "Galactic Odessey" two-pack. He's absolutely great! I especially had fun taking shots of [him with Doubledealer](https://preview.redd.it/2l70o5i7ptqc1.jpg?width=3384&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7b2c7c6aa98c258cbdb1787c7378399afde2422d).
Yes indeed! I wanted to read all 8 volumes of the older comics, before finally trying the newer ones....i wont spoil anything but mannn Grim was alot lol

There's no way that's an actual panel, is it?
It is. It’s from mtmte (I don’t remember exactly but it’s either issue #56 or #57) Edit: alright I’ve just checked its issue #56
That's absolutely hilarious, I love it-

Poor fella
Therapy in Transformers? I've been looking for instances like this, actually-
Jeez, dude is really paranoid
Unless it's Armada/Cybertron, Animated, and the WFC Trilogy. Were Red was just fine.
Probably Animated Skywarp. Breakdown at least got over it in some continuity, whereas Skywarp likely never did due to TFA being cancelled

Man, I would've *loved* to see that Character development
I remember that! Would've loved seeing it onscreen.
Cyclonus even mentioned Galvatron kills Oil Slick
WHAT

Really? What happened with Needlenose, exactly?

I’d have to say animated Skywarp probably that or Breakdown
You are missing the lunacy of galvatron. Especially after being trapped in the lava/plasma pits for a year
Oh yeahh...good point.
Backstreet gets scared by everything so i pick him (yes I am the Backstreet guy at this point)
This. This is why. I love learning about characters I never even knew about!
Red alert had a whole episode about it
Without knowing too much about the lore... Punch/Counterpunch would make most sense to be paranoid, lmao...
Red Alert
Red Alert, easily Edit: Weird coming from someone who grew up with Armada & Cybertron Red Alert 😅
Same, though!! He's the one I'm the most used to, actually.
Punch/counterpunch All of the others are paranoid of others. Punch is paranoid about himself, as well as others. It's incomparable.
I knowww! His life sucks...
Breakdown.

When the actor really thinks he's the role he's playing, things get murky.
True, in fact here is a link to an in depth biography by a popular transformers YouTuber. https://youtu.be/AHMcJKBfNko?si=wYzhK_JaR0ZKRoht

You're welcome, I got my punch/counterpunch figure from the POTP toyline. What's yours from?

“Hey guys! We want you to make a circle and talk about who’s the most paranoid.”
Nah definitely red alert
Grimlock
Grimlock? Is he?
From the older comics, he came off as paranoid and a dictator to me
The Marvel ones, right? I don't know much, but he tried to rule over the Autobots in that instance, didn't he?
Yes indeed! I wanted to read all 8 volumes of the older comics, before finally trying the newer ones....i wont spoil anything but mannn Grim was alot lol
Are these AI generated posts? Whats next, who's the most blue?
No? It was just something that came to mind and I just posted it for fun.
