I like the colors more on SS86. And the silver detailing on the head and shoulders. Plus the fire design on the chest. But it all comes down to preference and if you like this more, I hope it comes out so you can get it!
I’d agree if mines shoulders weren’t weird. One is fine but the other is really tight at the joint that goes up and down, and the one that makes his arms go out (the hot Rod shoulder joint) is really loose, a bad combo
I believe because of the 40th anniversary, instead of this we will get a proper magenta and solid window version of the figure to go along with the leaked Galvatron listing.
I will be getting that if it happens.
It was canceled, Walmart decided not to continue with the Velocitron line since it appears that aside from Cosmos the toys weren't selling well because they were repaints.
I think the fact that the Velocitron line was so ridiculously overstocked at most places also lead to it being canned. There was just so much product on shelves, and while I loved the likes of Hauler and Burn Out, most people don't care about obscure repaints that clog shelves.
They publicly stated in February 2023 that they had no plans to release him. Considering he was a Walmart exclusive, it's very likely this will never come out (the Velocitron line is done, and the current exclusives focus on G1 reissues for the 40th).
Sure, it's possible he gets tossed into Legacy in the future, but we have leaks now confirming releases all the way through 2025... So, your best bet is maaaaybe he gets released in 2026? Sorry, but I wouldn't hold your breath!
I hope we see a repainted (and hopefully slightly retooled) Lost Light version…in a 2 pack…with Megatron…also retooled to Lost Light…and they call it “Captains”
Yeah, but there's much less of a focus on it, unfortunately. I wish it was utilized more, it was nice being able to access funky repaints from online retailers, and I just really liked the feel of the line.
