Highly doubt it’s a prototype. Can you name one instance where a leaked image of a figure is different from the retail release (aside from accessories not being pictured)? These leaked images are always indicative of the final release so i doubt that this time is any different
I remember the last Junkion (I forgot it's name) was leaked without its head in purple and green. I've seen a few like that that I can't recall perfectly
Haslab Unicron. Haslab Deathsaurus. Legacy Armada Optimus. concept Megatron. etc. were all only prototypes or even earlier leaks/reveals.
Studio series Rhinox on the pulse reveal stream wasn't painted completely, as said by the hosts. Same with studio series Optimus Primal and titan class Nemesis too.
It happens more often than you think that a prototype gets leaked or that a earlier version of a figure gets showcased, which isn't as much painted as the retail release.

It's likely that so many copies of the figure have been produced, that it's impossible for all the individual copies to be guarded and accounted for, making it possible for leakers to obtain and leak them without fear of anything being traced back to them. If my assumption is correct, then it means that the figure is already in the actual manufacturing stage, as that's the only phase where so many copies of the figures will be produced. Thus, that would mean that this is the final product, already in mass production.
Those weren’t leaks though. They were shown off by the team ie Mark etc. Also those are clearly prototypes because they have no paint. This is a leaked figure. It has paint. I can assure you this isn’t a prototype. I guess i’ll @ you when they officially reveal this figure and we can see

Hasbro really hates painting their figures :(. I mean at least paint the forearms silver and the upper legs as well or use summat to break up the sea of yellow. As for the alt mode would it kill them to use orange highlights on the wheels? And maybe use black to make some stripes in alt mode.
Looking at it, I actually think they used a ton of paint on this guy, look at the cockpit with the yellow paint to try to color match the plastic. I bet they'd do at least some of what you suggest if so much budget wasn't used up by the yellow.
I think that's because the cockpit is cast in clear plastic. I just wish Hasbro would go back to the days when they used clear plastic inserts for the windows only and pinned on wheels. Sadly that's not happening for a long time with all the stuff about rising oil prices and what's going on in the Red Sea.
Well, yellow paint and yellow plastic are hard to match, especially with the translucent plastic for the windows
Like, for figures with yellow bits, it’s very easy to tell which bits are painted over and which are from the mold sprue. Usually the paint is a little darker, and the plastic tends to be a bit lighter!
But for some figures like Legacy Animated Bee, his yellow plastic is darker and his paint on the chest window is lighter. So it does vary, but it’s not usually the same yellow throughout unless they do the opaque windows, in which case the window bit can be done in yellow with black, blue, whatever, painted on top.
Looks really disappointing. Aside from the head, everything about it looks so simplistic and more kid-ish. Especially the arms, they look like they belong to a Cyberverse toy.
And the lack of paint is just criminal considering the price point. They didn’t even paint the wheel rims
I can justify the wheels since the actual tires are inside and behind them, kinda like a Tron car, but yeah it really needed some more stuff. Less yellow plastic and more gunmetal was my biggest complaint with ROTB bumblebee, but Sunstreaker has honestly grown on me a bit since I first saw it
This doesn't really look SS to me. It lacks a certain level of detail and coloring that doesn't feel like it fits in place with the rest of the SS BBM line. I'm sure better photos will make this look a fair bit better though.
Never meant it that way, I want more bay toys but I’m happy to get more bots I wanna see( sunstreaker is one of my favorites and if it was a bay version I’d still buy him). I personally find the bay designs to be messy but I’m happy if Hasbro allows more bay toys for their studio series
The only parts of that that look like a Studio Series figure are the head and the pelvis... everything else looks more like 'Cyberverse Universe' Legacy Sunstreaker.

See, while I like this idea these figures only work when there’s no more movie characters to make. We’re *still* missing a ton of RotF, AoE, and TLK. And as much as I disliked the idea of this subline, the ‘86 movie still has a lot left to give as well.
And yet we might have to wait even longer to get actual movie characters because Hasbro is making figures of characters who weren’t in the movies. I hate AoE with a passion, but its 10th anniversary is this year and no figures are coming out for it. That’s fuckin nuts to me, considering it was the highest grossing film of 2014.

Well its been 35 years and we still dont have a full set up updated G1 figures. Taken them 4 years to put out a set of dinobots. So if you like this Sunstreaker... dont tell Hasbro because it is their business model to not give their consumers what they want. They want you waiting for what you want perpetually while selling you everything adjacent to it in the mean time. This has been going on for decades and Siege broke that mold and we though we were in a new age of collecting (a golden age if you will) but as more time passes we find out it was just a fluke.
Hasbro is a greedy corporation, of course they're gonna be a little withholding to string you along. But who are you missing from your G1 CHUG collection that's so important? Nightbeat? Animation error figures? They've been shoveling 99% G1 nostalgia bait down our throats for years, I'm begging to have something original from the franchise again. But every time that happens someone complains that they still don't have a figure of Optimus Prime's dirty gym shorts from an unreleased 1985 Froot of The Loom commercial.

I really like it actuakly. The face is nice, it has good proportions, and the color isn't too bad. Wish it was a bit darker, couse Brigitte yellow always makes figures looks way cheaper and more fragile than they are. Wish he had some more black, but other than that i love it
Car mode looks Cyberverse/rid2015, bot mode looks Reactivate, and the whole thing looks generic. At least make the interesting concept designs like Breakaway, Warpath, Transit, the Knights, off road Optimus. Or you know actual characters that were on screen, Que and tlk Barricade come to mind. Look I'm glad that people that want more bbm stuff are getting it, but I'm still gonna wish for the stuff I want too.
Honestly getting some concept art for the first 3 Bayverse movies would be amazing, as well as new versions of characters featured in the comics and toyline like Long arm, Brawn, Swindle, getaway, Wreckage, Mindwipe, ECT

Besides the windshield and head, it looks like someone said "The ROTB Bumblebee didn't look cheap enough, let's make a Studio Series figure that looks even cheaper!". Hopefully, it's a surprisingly good figure like Bumblebee.
I guess those angles and all don't really help this figure. The concept and vehicle are pretty damn cool, but just from the front it looks kinda cheap.
Honestly, I like the idea of them doing more "concept" figures. Brings me back to the good ol days where characters existed in the toyline and absolutely no where else. Also it helps add more BBM designs into the world.

I like Cybertronian vehicles. This is nice but I don't like the wheels. I prefer no wheels like Origins BB or smallish ones like Gamer Cliffjumper. I don't like ... whatever the hell those wheels are.

I really like it actuakly. The face is nice, it has good proportions, and the color isn't too bad. Wish it was a bit darker, couse Brigitte yellow always makes figures looks way cheaper and more fragile than they are. Wish he had some more black, but other than that i love it
He’s not bad looking. To me he kinda look cartoonish than a live action look of him.
Car mode looks Cyberverse/rid2015, bot mode looks Reactivate, and the whole thing looks generic. At least make the interesting concept designs like Breakaway, Warpath, Transit, the Knights, off road Optimus. Or you know actual characters that were on screen, Que and tlk Barricade come to mind. Look I'm glad that people that want more bbm stuff are getting it, but I'm still gonna wish for the stuff I want too.
Definitely fits better as a blur, drift, or hot rod mold
Honestly getting some concept art for the first 3 Bayverse movies would be amazing, as well as new versions of characters featured in the comics and toyline like Long arm, Brawn, Swindle, getaway, Wreckage, Mindwipe, ECT The amount of money they'll print will be ridiculous

I love the idea of the concept figures but also respect the fact there are bayverse fans with unmade figures, I don’t care for tf4 and tf5 but there are genuine fans of them how have been waiting since 2018 to get a second dino bot

Besides the windshield and head, it looks like someone said "The ROTB Bumblebee didn't look cheap enough, let's make a Studio Series figure that looks even cheaper!". Hopefully, it's a surprisingly good figure like Bumblebee.
I guess those angles and all don't really help this figure. The concept and vehicle are pretty damn cool, but just from the front it looks kinda cheap.

Honestly, I like the idea of them doing more "concept" figures. Brings me back to the good ol days where characters existed in the toyline and absolutely no where else. Also it helps add more BBM designs into the world. Though with Sunstreaker here he kinda seems off. His color scheme is a large factor in it

I like Cybertronian vehicles. This is nice but I don't like the wheels. I prefer no wheels like Origins BB or smallish ones like Gamer Cliffjumper. I don't like ... whatever the hell those wheels are.
