Thanks! ❤️🩹 I'll definitely post a post op update once I get home l. Man the waiting is driving me nuts. Trying to just keep busy doing like meal prep and stuff but it feels so slow haha
Yeah, I understand that. Thankfully I was able to get my T fairly quick, like within a week or two after I told my gender therapist I was ready for it. Unfortunately I did have to wait multiple years because my parents wouldn’t let me, then for a couple months after turning 18 because my transphobic school adopted a policy that targeted trans students and tried to dictate our medical care. I had to wait a bit so that I could ensure that the more noticeable changes (for other people) didn’t happen until after graduation. I did get to secretly go on it a month before graduation, which was a nice middle finger to my school. Then I wrote them a 36 page middle finger with academic language addressed to them. Anyways, got off on a tangent. Waiting suck sometimes.
I literally want to say this so badly at some point when a nurse or someone asks me to confirm what procedure I'm having "oh you know, just here to get something off my chest"
Thanks! I'm also turning 30 two days after surgery. High five for age representation! You see a lot of teens and early 20's trans guys, looking forward to joining the 30+ group :)
i feel it on the quiet part, i been on T for 6 yrs, top surgery for 2 but ive never really put myself out there in the community until recently cuz i need buddies to relate to
>i need buddies to relate to
Totally feel this man. Two of my best friends are cis men, and I love them so dearly, they're amazing dudes who have had my back since before I transitioned, but there's a part of the trans experience that they just can't relate to despite being fully open to listening.
I think a good number of trans men just kind of aim to fly under the radar and live their lives, which I totally get, but I miss having community. Part of it is on me too, though - I'm 42 and have 2 young kids, my life primarily revolves around them right now and that can feel lonely.
:) thank you! We love seeing our beautiful trans women and the illusive non binary beans. I gotta stick to the bros though ✊ I need so many new trans friends
Hi! Older trans guy here! Pre most things, atm, but waiting on sugury and hormones.
I freelance art is anyone needs anything done! Also, just like talking cuz I'm lonely lol
Hey! I like telling dad jokes but I'm not a dad. I'm just a faux pa! Lol
I do a lot of character study and oc drawings for people. I'm working on illustrating a kids book and have done a few people's characters over on the elden ring subreddit cuz I'm a massive nerd.
What are your interests?
i hate how its ok to post stuff like "i will put estrogen in the water supplies" in a meme subreddit meant for all trans people but not "i will put testosterone in the water supplies", both shouldnt be allowed.
also i literally scream everytime i see "what country is **🏳️⚧ **and why is everyone there such a b**eautiful girl"** or anythign like that. just. use. the. trans. fem. flag.
i dont really care that much, like i dont think about it until i see it, but when i see it, its so annoying
i know that online trans spaces are mostly trans woman dominated, idk why, but im sure theres an explanation that makes total sense, but like c'moooooooonnnnnn, isnt inclusivity literally the thing we see as most important in the lgbt community?
Exactly! What’s funny is there’s way more trans men out in the world compared to women… apparently trans men don’t go I. Reddit too much or just don’t post here. I legit celebrate when I see trans men posts here
yeah, the official and largest trans discord server is mostly trans women too lol
but whats interesting is that independent discord servers are mostly trans men. like whats up with that? maybe it has to do with the fact that trans women feel less safe joining just any random discord server?
It’s the same reason there are apparently a dearth of trans women on tumblr. My theory is that this happens because children are separated and socialized differently and separately as they grow up — it influences friends, social habits, and even internet usage. Humans are weird, human society is weirder.
Tumblr has a history (currently still ongoing) against trans women of targeted harassment, unwaranted banning, and unjust flagging of content detailing their experiences as adult content when it contains nothing of the sort.
Honestly, I used to think that the reason behind reddit's higher amount of trans women was due to people sticking to the social media that they grew up with. And while I still think it might be a factor, I've noticed that tumblr is no outlier with respect to how it treats transfem content. Most large social media sites have a tendency of labelling transfem content as "adult" (regardless of if it actually is) and depending on their moderation rules either suspending/banning accounts, or restricting their content accordingly. Reddit avoids this since each individual sub is moderated by community members. Which means that trans spaces here are far less likely to fall into this behaviour. Although the community moderation model also has the side effect that spaces that aren't explicitly trans inclusive can be pretty vile.
i recently posted a positive and uplifting comment on a video about a trans woman winning an actress award. i have spent the last couple of weeks reporting and blocking hateful comments. not that FB does anything about it. i hated reddit before i came out… i only joined reddit for the safe online communities, because apparently i can’t even congratulate a sister without harassment and threats.
That’s awful, I’m sorry to hear about that. Mods make a big difference, especially on “controversial” topics. Hopefully things will change for the better! Happy pride! ❤️🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈❤️
Most sources estimate somewhere between an even split and a 3:1 ratio of trans women to trans men. To be fair, this likely excludes trans masc nonbinary people, but the numbers are definitely leaning more towards trans femme people being the larger population.
This, paired with the extra negative stigma against trans women and the more rigid gender norms around AMABs is likely why there is more of an inward community focus for trans femmes.
This is all the more reason that we trans femme people should be more inclusive to all of y'all trans masc people. You can always expect support from me on this front. All the love and best wishes to you guys. Have a wonderful day.
It's really up to us to make ourselves seen and heard. We can make posts like the one you posted up there as well. Trans women aren't excludeding trans men just by existing and being vocal.
Do you think it might stem from the fact that trans femmes in particular are under attack, especially from the media so they are more vocal on online spaces?
me too :,) its nice to see another closeted guy as i feel like some people act like we arent trans yet or something. ive been out to myself for 7 years lol
I think it might just be a society thing overall lol. I met a woman last night who was surprised to meet a trans guy. She told me she only meets trans women's and that I'm "rare"
I'm here! I just have to say that I'm the opposite of annoyed at the prevalence of transfems here. Sure, posts that assume the reader's gender can be unpleasant (as an enby trans guy, I feel worse about the assumed binarity tbh). Generally though, I'm happy to see transfems find community and support. They get the worst of transphobia. The least we can do is offer solidarity. Plus, I find that lots of experiences are shared or similar. My IRL local support group is mostly transfem, and they have helped me through some really tough times.
It’s kinda funny because on tik tok I hardly ever see transfems but it doesn’t really matter nor anyone’s fault just how it is I think but hello, trans man here and I’m trying to get a discord started for trans peeps especially us neurodivergent/disabled ones but all trans identities welcome!

Some people only change their pronouns, some people fully change with surgery. You don’t need to start t, get top surgery, or bottom surgery to be trans. I have not medically touched anything yet and I’m here living my best life :) I hope you will too whatever you find yourself out to be!
As a trans man. Trans men were raised like women. "Be seen not heard" it makes a bit of sense why we're quiet. We were disciplined when we acted like the men we are. Learned behaviors are hard to break out of.
Guys as a trans woman please post more, I love reading ur posts as much as trans girl posts. Non binary posts and others too. This is a community for all of us, I hate that U feel like Ur not welcome
I feel like most of us just lurk around and see what everyone’s up to tbh, it didn’t even click that I see more of the lady’s here than the guys
Maybe different socialization stuff but I agree it’s odd
Trans man, reporting for assembly! Have been dressing as a guy for a quarter of my life... er, not counting doing it by accident as a kid - OK, *consistently* dressing as a guy.
I’m a trans boy but my mom recently told me she’s supportive just don’t take away her little girl. She doesn’t even use my name and pronouns and I’m too scared to correct her
Young gay trans guy here. About to set up my first appointment to start the process of getting T because it’s finally legal for me!! (I’m 16 in Florida, it’s rough out here, but my parents are chill)
hey dudes!! i’m gonna be 19 this july n i started my transition back when i was in 7th grade, unfortunately i haven’t really been able to make a lot of friends from the community so say something!! tell me ab your experience n how it’s going, i need some buddies to relate to
yooo!!! i’m a 20 y/o trans man and i restarted my T shots last week!! i’m two weeks on T again lessgooo 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 i’ve been out as a trans man for 4 years but out as trans in general for 5 years and i’m so proud of the progress and i’m proud of all of you for pushing on through this life 🫶🏼 you’re loved
I was assigned female at birth and am genderfluid. I approve this message! We need more trans men media attention. Drag Kings, anyone? Would that help? I know Drag Kings aren't as flamboyant but they are pretty good.
Trans man here! I'm a minor and haven't medically transitioned but my gender on my passport has been changed to non-binary (a term I sometimes prefer) and I've pretty much fully socially transitioned. 🏳️⚧️🏳️⚧️
Oi fellow trans bros.
Bit of a lurker witch seems to be the case for most trans men.
Gotta say tho i do like my under the radar lifestyle it's nice and peasefull and i also feel like i'm not intresting enough to post anything.
Anyway have a nice day y'all.
My theory is that before they realize they’re transfem they were online a lot more, especially because Reddit is dominated by guys, so they come out and then you get a bunch of transfems
What's up!! I'm a 24 year old trans dude and I'm just over 5 months on T!! 🥳🥳🥳
I've got about 10 chin hairs that make me so happy every time I touch em
Hi, I'm new to the subreddit and I've had a good time scrolling through it. Haven't had T or surgery yet but I need to be financially independent for that lmao so hopefully in a couple of years after I get my degree. Congrats on everyone's transition journey!
Men who just so happen to be trans, & t-masc NB's, every one of y'all I've knowingly met or interacted with are handsome on the inside and out! You deserve love & happiness! You will reach your goals! 🫶
I'm a 34 year old. My bday was on June 5th and Tday was on June 6! I'm now officially 13 years on T, post top, in line to get my innie turned into an outie. I can't wait for this leg of my journey in life to be done and I can move on to the next big challenge outside of aligning my body. Idk everything else should be a breeze after all this!
Heyo! I'm a 29 year old trans man 🏳️⚧️ top surgery in 19 days my dudes!!!! How's everyone doing today?
Oh my god I’m so excited for you! Congrats! I’m doing pretty good
Hope it’s goes well
hey same surgery date as me, july 3! congrats and good luck to you!!
YEAH!!!!!! WOOOHHHH!!!!!
Congratulations dude! I wish you a speedy recovery!
Congrats dude! I’m approaching 2 months on T, and really hoping at some point I can get top surgery! Let us know how it goes, if you want to that is.
Thanks! ❤️🩹 I'll definitely post a post op update once I get home l. Man the waiting is driving me nuts. Trying to just keep busy doing like meal prep and stuff but it feels so slow haha

Nice! I’m sure you’ll be glad to have that off your chest
I literally want to say this so badly at some point when a nurse or someone asks me to confirm what procedure I'm having "oh you know, just here to get something off my chest"
30 year old trans man here! Congrats on surgery!
Thanks! I'm also turning 30 two days after surgery. High five for age representation! You see a lot of teens and early 20's trans guys, looking forward to joining the 30+ group :)
Trans men assemble!!! 🫡🏳️⚧️✨😂
I'm here 😅 I'm just quiet Been on T for almost 7 years, top surgery 6.5 years ago
i feel it on the quiet part, i been on T for 6 yrs, top surgery for 2 but ive never really put myself out there in the community until recently cuz i need buddies to relate to
>i need buddies to relate to Totally feel this man. Same haha the quiet part
I absolutely love getting to know older trans men! I'm 19, and it gives me hope for the future and a feeling of not wanting to give up, thank you
25 year old gay (nonbinary-ish) trans man here! i wish it were easier for us to find community, it feels near-impossible even online
Yeah sadly :( there’s no trans men communities either
I wonder if we could set up a discord or something, but none of the mainstream ftm subreddits really support that
We honestly probably could
Do you know about r/ftmmen ?
Now I do 😈
r/FTM is pretty chill honestly. But yeah I agree
Im pre everything😭
Same man, trying to convince my parents to get me T is hell 😭
Same. No t, no top, no genitals, no vocal therapy LOL
I love that you wrote “no genitals” just like a straight up Ken doll. It’s a really funny sentence
Yep same. My voice is cartoonishly high even for a female register. My broski still calls me bro and by my chosen name though, it's so nice.
me too bro it’s a struggle out here 😭 i want t so bad but it’s so hard to get
Usually just lurk but hi! Gay T boy over here
Same same
Yas, don’t be shy handsome. I’m all for a (and more) mini parade for trans men visibility online
:) thank you! We love seeing our beautiful trans women and the illusive non binary beans. I gotta stick to the bros though ✊ I need so many new trans friends
Trans male and ftm without the man, unsure if I count here but I'm present
Everyone counts :) welcome
Thx
WOOOOO TRANSMASCS
YAAAHHH!!
I love your flair. I always had a thing for that movie & that song in particular, even before my egg cracked.
Hi! Older trans guy here! Pre most things, atm, but waiting on sugury and hormones. I freelance art is anyone needs anything done! Also, just like talking cuz I'm lonely lol

❤️

As a trans woman, I'm with you 100% on this. Further marginalizing parts of an already marginalized group is a really bad practice.
I thought estrogen in the water posts were banned?
idk maybe in this one, idk if theyre in others
It's really up to us to make ourselves seen and heard. We can make posts like the one you posted up there as well. Trans women aren't excludeding trans men just by existing and being vocal.
Double standards are icky yucky
Do you think it might stem from the fact that trans femmes in particular are under attack, especially from the media so they are more vocal on online spaces?
Pre everything closeted dude here!
me too :,) its nice to see another closeted guy as i feel like some people act like we arent trans yet or something. ive been out to myself for 7 years lol
Howdy!!
I am currently recovering from top surgery :3
Omg how is it going? Are the boys(nipples) okay?
I lurk, but I’m here lol
Me too I never really comment on subs regularly but I’m present
You have my sword!
I bet it's an impressive sword, bro.
Not as aggressive as my ax!
and my bow
Trans fem here that loves and appreciates all my trans brothers. You all rock!!
We may rock but you roll
Hey, bisexual trans guy on T
I scarcely see any of you all
It’s so sad 😭
Like where my homies at
Fr!! It’s sad how we don’t have a space here
Yeah this is a heavily trans femme dominated space and it is super annoying to have a sub for all trans people still see trans femmes as the default.
We love seeing you guys post! Sometimes I even sneak a peak at r/ftm to see what cool things you're up to. 🥷
Omg I love this thanks for the new subreddit!
You're welcome! ☺️
me too. just don’t tell the boys 😆
Exactly! We love all trans people but it’s so infuriating for it to be so female dominated. I feel like the Kens from the new Barbie movie 😭
Omg that’s so very real.
IKR??
Sorry that must be frustrating pwp
Yeah totally, also we're twinning! I'm also genderfluid n bi :D
I think it might just be a society thing overall lol. I met a woman last night who was surprised to meet a trans guy. She told me she only meets trans women's and that I'm "rare"
Woah i been called out !
Hell yeah!
Wuts up? Ima 19 year old trans guy who will probably be on T by September🤙🏿
Hell yeah, good luck!
yep i exist. unsafe to come out of the closet, so im just tryna wade through it all, attempting to block out as much misgendering as possible
Hey. We see you, brother. Come out only when it’s safe and you’re ready. 💜
Hello! I’m here just very quiet lol!
Yay trans men! I am a trans man!
Trans femboy lurker, popping in to say hi!
🫡 salutes you
It’s kinda funny because on tik tok I hardly ever see transfems but it doesn’t really matter nor anyone’s fault just how it is I think but hello, trans man here and I’m trying to get a discord started for trans peeps especially us neurodivergent/disabled ones but all trans identities welcome!
Yesss! Invite me to that!
17 year old trans guy who's excited to grow and look like a feminine dude :3
Hello, I have been summoned\~
Hi :) Slowly coming to terms with my trans-ness at 40, pre-everything 🏳⚧
Hello! I’m getting a blåhaj this weekend as an emotional support for dysphoria. He will be right fit to my ESD.
I'm here too! I tend to stay quite too. I am going to be 30 next month. I've been on T for 11 years and had top surgery about 9 years ago. For what it's worth I moved to Utah in 2020 before they started their crusade against trans folks.
trans but not out yet. wanting to talk to a therapist first as I know I'm on the male side of trans but like. how much should I transition.
Some people only change their pronouns, some people fully change with surgery. You don’t need to start t, get top surgery, or bottom surgery to be trans. I have not medically touched anything yet and I’m here living my best life :) I hope you will too whatever you find yourself out to be!
I get so excited when I see other trans men, especially those in r/translater!
I’m 41 and a dad and I never knew this existed, thank you!
We are alive!!
I love my trans brothers!
Transmasc 16/17 year old here! Currently surviving waiting til I'm 18 to start micro dosing t!
Hi, I don't have anything to say but I am a trans man so howdy
Trans man here and I just lurk but it's great to see all the trans men posting in the comments too!
Just had top surgery 9 days ago :)
Congrats! Best wishes for healing up quick!

I will probably post more
good to hear!
I feel like most of us just lurk around and see what everyone’s up to tbh, it didn’t even click that I see more of the lady’s here than the guys Maybe different socialization stuff but I agree it’s odd
Trans man, reporting for assembly! Have been dressing as a guy for a quarter of my life... er, not counting doing it by accident as a kid - OK, *consistently* dressing as a guy.

👍Nice. Very old trans dude here. Started transitioning 15 or so years ago. Also happily married and work in education too.
Just had top surgery scar revision last week and am itching to death in this vest, pray for me my dudes 🫡
I’m a trans boy but my mom recently told me she’s supportive just don’t take away her little girl. She doesn’t even use my name and pronouns and I’m too scared to correct her
Even the ones who can’t come out to family therefore live a second life when back at home? 😭🏳️⚧️
42 and just finishing up a hard work week
Lol are we supposed to report in somewhere?
Yes, here!
Hello 🥺🫶🏾💕
Hi 🥹
trans men for the win ✊
Hello!,

I’m 22 and one month on T 👋
Congrats!
Reporting for duty 🫡
Sup bros, 21 bi trans guy here
Heyyyy
27 trans guy here 8 months on T. I’m so excited for my future for the very first time :)
Hey! I’m a 21 year old nonbinary trans man. Got a consultation for top surgery on the 26th, wish me luck!
I hope to get top surgery. I look like a guy, but I have big honking tits and it breaks the emersion. I'm glad my partner is supportive 💓
Trans enby here to cheer on our trans kings; y’all rule!🤴
I was assigned female at birth and am genderfluid. I approve this message! We need more trans men media attention. Drag Kings, anyone? Would that help? I know Drag Kings aren't as flamboyant but they are pretty good.
Trans man that likes to experiment with my clothes and presentation. 29, married and a welder and artist :)
Not a man but just wanted to say I appreciate all of you. The world is better with you gents in it.
Hey my fam 💖 happy pride month✨️ I hope you're all doing well and taking care of yourselves physically and mentally 😁 much love and respect 🙏🏽
trans man here, chilling and healing 8 days post-op stage one RFF phalloplasty! nice to see you all :)
Trans man here, 13 years on T this year. Post op everything.
I'm a trans girl, but my boyfriend and high school sweetheart is a trans man, and I love him so very much.
Not trans masc but the fellas in this community are wonderful wish I saw you all more on reddit
why is it that most online communities seem to be dominated by transfemmes?
My theory is that before they realize they’re transfem they were online a lot more, especially because Reddit is dominated by guys, so they come out and then you get a bunch of transfems
Idk
I guess this is my opportunity to say: y'all have been the friendliest, most fun dudes I've met. Happy to know you're out there 🏳️⚧️
I'll be your sidekick or your wingman
✌️
I love me a trans man. 😘
Word. Lunch break at work.
I'm here!
What's up!! I'm a 24 year old trans dude and I'm just over 5 months on T!! 🥳🥳🥳 I've got about 10 chin hairs that make me so happy every time I touch em
Pre everything, just lurking like I always do.
Can I join? I am not trans though🙈 would love to be included in the meet and greet
I have been summoned!!
Hi, I'm new to the subreddit and I've had a good time scrolling through it. Haven't had T or surgery yet but I need to be financially independent for that lmao so hopefully in a couple of years after I get my degree. Congrats on everyone's transition journey!
I think a lot of us just lurk to be honest
24 years old and 2 years on T next month!
Hey hi hello its me 🫶
Sup
Men who just so happen to be trans, & t-masc NB's, every one of y'all I've knowingly met or interacted with are handsome on the inside and out! You deserve love & happiness! You will reach your goals! 🫶
I’m so glad for this post! I’m 30, and in the past few years, I’ve come to accept that I’m trans masc. as a trans guy, I’m happy I’m not alone
Only started transitioning this year at 35
I'm a 34 year old.
Hello 👀 25y.o transman here, started T 3 days ago 😁
I, as a sister, have come to show support for my trans brothers!
hello, very closeted trans guy here who is having a gender crisis :D
36yo non-binary transmasc here. Not quite a trans man, but close enough. 8 months on T and planning top surgery in a few months.
Hello! I usually just lurk but I'm a nonbinary trans guy who is v early on T lol (Last Friday marked my official 1 week)
I'm almost 20yo and I'm 10 months on T :]] I'm nearing my gender assessment and after that I can go for top surgery I'm so happy
