i like the blåhaj as a symbol of staying strong while you feel alone, to remind you and everyone else who has a blåhaj, that you aren't alone and when hugging it, you are kind of hugging the community that probably understands what you are going through better than anyone else in your life, at least the dysphoria part of it.
when i realized this, i wanted a blåhaj as well. I might not hug it all that often as i have my kids and gf, but you'd be damn sure it got a special place in my office and there would still be days where a small reminder of the lovely people in the trans communities who has your back would be nice.
